Amnesiac Hero - I originally went with this to explain the lack of backstory in the first game and to allow me some canon updating wiggle room if we ever found out anything about her in the sequel. There's nothing quite like having an elaborate headcanon past get completely jossed. We all know how that turned out.

-- RELATED META TROPE: Hilarious in Hindsight - The explanation for her amnesia? Something went wrong when she was sleeping in the Relaxation Vault, essentially giving her brain damage.
