Ten years later, humanity and the synthetic life on the station are at odds
Hypatia has inducted as many citizens of Sacrosanct into a private military and launched
an all-out war against organic life and the people of Asphodel.
Some were kept on the station as captives, some escaped down planet-side
to become part of the resistance, and countless others were re-purposed into
Hypatia's willing slaves.

Now, tensions are at a peak and both sides are preparing for a throwdown. Skirmishes break out on the station and planet. Many of Hypatia's prisoners have been freed, but many more have fallen to the clutches of reprogramming.

Where will you be?

How this works:
-If you are synthetic or part-synthetic, OR if you have special armor (Looking at you, Spartans, Troncast, EVERY ROBOT EVER) you are a target for re-purpose.
You can still have escaped down to the planet, but she'll be after you. Going to the station is dangerous, once you enter her wide-area-network you are at risk of being hacked

-If you are fully organic, you are either dead, kept prisoner and made to work on the station, or part of the resistance on Asphodel.

-Anything in-between? You decide. Be creative with this.

Now, why would he stop? He can clearly see that he's enjoying it, moving in small circles as he scratched. "You always did love this." He mused, giving him little kisses on the bridge of his nose. "Which, I don't blame you, I like it a lot, too."

The beast curls up a little and closes his eyes. Whatever this is, it's okay. Nice, even. He's okay with this.

He smiles as he sees his eyes close. Without letting up on the scratches, he slides himself over to his side. His blissful state is extremely contagious, but he... is really hesitant to try to do what he wants to do. Removing one hand from his head, he uses it to try to lift up the other's hand. Let's... see if Gamzee will allow him to cuddle, or if that might be too much.

He's half-asleep now, so barely even reacts as the creature curls up to him.

Since he does not, he removes his other hand to stop scratching his head. He slides himself into his arms, curling up against him. It was so good to have him again, even if he wasn't all there just yet. He would have to work with it, chisel at the wall that lay in front of the memories and habits that he used to have.

For now, this is perfect. He's basically what he always feared he would become one day, unable to take to what he loved. If he could forget about all of the fighting, the business with Sacrosanct, everything for just even a small amount of time and pretend that everything was just a dream... well, he'd be so happy for that.

"Alright, next time I come, I'll bring paper and pens. Colors and shit, so you can coordinate or something."

It was close. So close to what it was before. He can't decide if almost having him again is good, or if it's just a vicious taunt against Soundwave. Frankly, considering how his life has done in the past thirteen years, he wouldn't be surprised if it was the latter.

So there is Skyfire, looking absolutely puzzled. Really, what's there to be confused about?

"PROBLEM?" The word is almost sneered out.

His brows knit and he doesn't know exactly how to deal with the flood of now very vibrant emotions. It leaves him in such distress. It's all he can do to do what feels familiar in the moment and grab Soundwave, dragging him in and burying his face in a shoulder.

It's a lot of sudden memories that bear down on him, a great weight.

He feels a burning behind his eyes and he has no idea why.

Shockwave would be fine just sitting in silence, allowing Skyfire to rest and relax under the blanket as he works upon the shuttle's suit.

It has to be safe, it's just as important as Soundwave's being safe. The people he still cares for these days are few, and even if there is little time to do things - especially express such feelings - if he can prevent possible death, then he'll try.

Of course working on the suit in silence is a bit hard when there's someone making a displeased growl.

"... Is something wrong?"

This small victory causes her to perk up a bit and become more involved with the conversation. Something about the pattern of this argument feels familiar, like a long lost glove that still retains the wearer's shape. It's far too easy to slip back into without thinking about it.

"No, it makes purrfect sense! If you knew how to win you wouldn't have to cheat to get the same result."

"That was winning! It's not my fault you're not as creative as me!"

"I'm purrlenty creative. I just don't break my own rules like a sore loser!"

"What rules?!"

"The rules of the game! Weren't you paying attention when I told you about them in the beginning?"

"Convenient timing," CT replied, re-adjusting the coarse strip around her waist that currently served as a makeshift holster. She'd lost her previous masterpiece in the previous raid and still not stopped berating herself for it. Regardless, information now had become a viable currency and the more books they had, the more at least she and Conan could keep away from Hypatia. These days that in itself was key, just not giving in to what the rogue AI wanted.

Still, the books would also only augment her current working knowledge of technology, which had been expanding rapidly in the past ten years, only bettered by Conan's presence.

Flipping down the electromagnetic lens on her goggles, she moved out into the street, quietly picking across to the other side and new cover. "The library's our next stop."

The minute she sees the vulnerability Nepeta is right up in his business, slashing at whatever weak spot she can reach. It doesn't matter what she hits - Nepeta knows all of the places to aim for that will cause pain.
