He doesn't deserve any of this, dying while dragging Jade back kicking and screaming from robot hell isn't fucking just and it's definitely not heroic. He's not a hero yet. John's missing but alive and Bro died from his shitty reflexes and-

He slams the door open with his shoulder, ignoring the sudden shooting pain down his entire side, and storms forward towards the formless mass of black hair. He tries to say something, to make some words come out of some sort, but all he can manage as he grabs her by the shoulder and turns her to face him is a sharp, angry hiss.

The thing is still circulating bile and anger and rage through his body from his fight with Jade. He needs an outlet, someone to scream at or fight or something. And straddling the troll in front of him for what is possibly the angriest, bloodiest, most half-dead kiss in the history of paradox space certainly seems like one way to do it.
