Two horns. Fine. He growls a little, in annoyance or maybe curiosity. Then he picks up a second horn and returns the sound.

The creature is making those talking noises at him again. They always do that. Usually it's begging or reasoning, noises tinged with fear and desperation. This one sounds calmer.

He stays safely in the dark, munching the last of the food and watching the creature warily.
