There's no limit to the topics or the amount of times someone can ask about a character. It can be huge things like how their life was before their canon, or something smaller like their first time making sweet sweet... um, baked goods for the family. As long as you think it's something that is accurate to your character but it isn't in their canon.

Redglare! I'm not sure how much of Mindfang's journal she read, but she saw enough to totally fall in love with that limb-stealing justice ninja and want to model her Flarping gear/persona on. I mean, who wouldn't, am I right?

After the Team Charge debacle went down, there was a period of time where Terezi wanted to throw away related to Redglare. Modeling yourself on your ancestor is actually pretty stupid! The choices you make now should be the ones you want to make, not because you're trying to chase someone else's legacy.

Eventually she decided to keep up the justice thing, because she realized she enjoyed order and crime scene investigations and the law for their own sakes, not just out of some desire to step into Redglare's shoes.

Nepeta doesn't like any ship where she just knows that the pair would be detrimental to each other, like Tavros and Vriska. She likes to keep track of who's into who and the possibility of who might hook up, but above all she wants her friends to be happy.

The idea of people she cares about in a relationship that makes them miserable is absolutely horrifying to her, especially when there's a chance that someone else might make them much happier. Romance is very important to her, and she only wants the best for the people around her in such a heavy area. Efuryone deserves someone special. :((

Also on the topic of Karkat in a matespritship with someone else, the same sort of outlook applies. While emotionally she'd be devastated, Nepeta wouldn't actually do anything to interfere with the relationship if she saw that they genuinely made each other happy. If it was a bad match, though? Oh hell yes she's going to try and break them up with ridiculous shenanigans and teamups the likes of which are only seen in romcoms and chick flicks.

He's incapable of trusting anyone, so he's pretty much got to arrange all of that himself, and in such a way that none of the Programs on any one work detail really know what the other sections are doing until it's mostly done.

So she's investigating this thing, referencing all sorts of documents about other , trying to figure out what this thing could be

She's all disappointed because man, wouldn't it have been awesomeif she found something that she could share with the galactic community that would have a revolutionized an entire scientific field, but she decides to ask hey, can she keep this, Prothean technology has already revolutionized the field of space toasting, it's not like you need this thing, right? So the University is like, sure, why the fuck not, so she carts this thing home and eventually puts it in display case all nice and pretty in her apartment on Ilium with all the rest of the artifacts she's obtained.

Eventually she becomes the Shadow Broker and can't leave the ship because she's so busy, so she sends a team back to her home to get all sorts of needed equipment/gadgets/files/whatnot. Including the toaster. And the agents are not Prothean experts and end up like, man! Prothean technology! This has got to be something important!

So they think nothing of it.

So Cerberus finally gets up the gumption to attack and try to take over her base of operations, and Liara is having absolutely none of this and decides to tell everyone to go fuck themselves by crashing the ship into a planet. I like to imagine that there was one Cerberus agent who had more than passing knowledge of Prothean technology and, in their final moments, looked over Liara's room and wondered, "...the fuck was the Shadow Broker doing with a space toaster in their room?"

And then the ship crashed and Liara's secret remained safe forever, the end.

EARTH FLESHLING MONKEYS ARE JUST PLAIN BAFFLING ANYWAY but the concept of clothes confused him the most.
