"Sheppard and Shepard are in a happy relationship until Shepard suddenly runs off with Garrus. Sheppard, broken-hearted, has a hot one-night stand with Starscream and a brief unhappy affair with Delta, then follows the wise advice of WALL-E and finds true love with Grid." What title would you give this fic?

Worst possible scenario that happened to the old residents of the station. Make it up.

Hypatia developed an unhealthy inflation fetish after watching what passes for her universes 'Wall-E.' Unable to rewrite her own appearance into the immensely BBW she knew she was inside, she eventually went mad and began collecting the human population and force-feeding them pudding on elaborate fat farms, not unlike the process in which a farmer force-feeds ducks to form fois gras. They became her sweaty, meaty dough toys.

Eventually their bodies simply collapsed under the weight of their sweltering lard rolls. Unable to engage in any sexual activity beyond indirect roll stimulus via trapped air pockets, the population dwindled and eventually died out in a clusterfuck of heart disease, liver failure, and asphyxiation due to cellulite obstructing the windpipe.

Lev's peripherals were, of necessity, extensive and far-reaching. They extended his 'body,' and the sensation and sight in a thousand pinprick eyes in all direction, ever-expanding, ever-shifting in a kaleidoscope of input that characterized his perception of himself. Dimly he was aware that for Hypatia, the sensation was similar, but more stable; an intelligence based in a space station naturally had a more uniform and standardized matrix of sensors.

But in the moment after their linkup, he realized just how truly different they were, as the searing pain-pleasure of unfamiliar sensors flashed interleaving fingers into mind and memory core when they synced for the first time. It seemed to go on for an eternity, and Hypatia let out a soft, wordless electronic whisper of surprise- never had her sight shifted so freely, never had his been so numerous.

For a moment, they were one, and the ache faded like an ill-exercised muscle warming to pleasurable work. Their processors worked in unison, piping data, sensation, memory, security, endless subroutines dancing in perfect time, a digital ballet through fiber-optic veins, and if he'd had eyes to close he would have closed them, so lost in her as he was.

And then it was over as the connection burnt out under the strain, peripherals damaged beyond all hope.

For a long time, he assumed she'd done it purposefully- the power sink and physical connection were on her end, after all. For centuries, she would believe it was Lev who'd cut them off, disgusted by some method or thought that scrawled across the myriad subsystems. It would eventually take the deep intervention of the brief little lives that occupied their days to finally make each crawl out from under the protective, selfish mantle and face the truth:

They were in love.
