Martyrbros with relationships best described as complicated with their younger brothers. Granted, Dave was never forced to kill Bro.

Protoman really genuinely likes Bro. He sees a lot of himself in him. Unlike himself, Bro really seems to Protoman like someone who's still willing to take up the role of a "hero", and...yeah, it's a sad day when Bro Strider can be considered a paragon of humanity. But by the rubric Protoman uses to measure that, he pretty much is. He can't wait to get to know Strider better. Who knows? Maybe he'll become better for it.

He's definitely unlike any human Protoman ever met back home.

He's got a lot of respect for Joe. I mean, for starters, he's the last human of the City who was willing to fight, to his knowledge. He sort of thinks Joe can be a little impetuous and...isn't really in touch with himself that much, which causes problems. But on the whole, he likes him. He was a little bit in awe of him when he first met him, this is Joe, but...to be totally honest, part of him wonders if Joe thought about what he was doing at all that night. From what he's seen so far, he really doubts it. He admires that despite everything though, given the high value Protoman places on courage.

All in all? Good human, good bro.

I like to think Joe had no real idea what he was doing for the most part. He just wanted to do SOMETHING for everyone. Wanted to feel alive and all that jazz.
