Dark Future Meme (as requested)
[We know who it is we want. We have a collective mind.
We don't miss a single step. We're always right behind.
We know we serve someone else. We have swallowed our pride.
We march to this tune of loss. We take this in our stride.]
Ten years later, humanity and the synthetic life on the station are at odds
Hypatia has inducted as many citizens of Sacrosanct into a private military and launched
an all-out war against organic life and the people of Asphodel.
Some were kept on the station as captives, some escaped down planet-side
to become part of the resistance, and countless others were re-purposed into
Hypatia's willing slaves.
Where will you be?
How this works:
-If you are synthetic or part-synthetic, OR if you have special armor (Looking at you, Spartans, Troncast, EVERY ROBOT EVER) you are a target for re-purpose.
You can still have escaped down to the planet, but she'll be after you. Going to the station is dangerous, once you enter her wide-area-network you are at risk of being hacked
-If you are fully organic, you are either dead, kept prisoner and made to work on the station, or part of the resistance on Asphodel.
-Anything in-between? You decide. Be creative with this.
-Fill out the form below to give us an idea of what your character is up to, what happened to them etc. Thread with each other! RP it out!
-Also, bring in your extra journals! There won't be the same people on the station ten years from now! If you're planning to app someone, or just have something interesting lying around, toss them in!

Current location: Asphodel
Current Physical Appearance: Pretty much the same -- a little older (23!), less lanky and more filled out. Somewhere around nineteen she got her hair stuck in a machine part and was forced to cut it extremely short and choppy, almost shaving it in parts. By now it's grown out to chin-length, but it took forever. Injuries are common for her, and though she had some scars before, Jade's Danger Magnet has attracted even more.
Summary: Well, okay, so maybe robots weren't that good. It didn't take long for Jade to figure out that Hypatia was a bad person -- she honestly didn't want to be associated with anything that she would suggest, and at the first mention of escaping from the Station to the planet below, she took it. Jade set herself up as a medic of sorts; after years of attempting to fight and trying to kill, she wanted to devote herself to the art of healing. She's not the most mechanical or technological of doctors, often relying on traditional methods because they work better (and she knows a good deal of patients are scared of robots). But if you need a robolimb, you go to Jade Harley -- she's an expert at reanimation of mechanical limbs, even giving Jack his pair of robolegs.
She's still fairly optimistic, but her bouts of overwhelming "oh god I fucked everything up" are longer and generally more frequent than they were when she was younger. But thanks to some good friends and maybe also a Dave, she's getting over that.

She wished she would come in a little closer. Maybe if she did she wouldn't feel so bad about taking a swipe at her. Because obviously that's why she hasn't tried to eat the girl yet. Of course. And she never said anything in response to the frequent pleas, because really what was there to say? The girl made no sense.

"Nepeta? I wish you could answer me, talking to myself is kind of boring..." Jade sighed, leaning her head on her hands. This happened a lot; she would share her day to day stories with the troll who had previously been one of her best friends. From stories about Dave to how Karkat was doing, Jade listed off facts aimlessly in the hopes that Nepeta would answer.

That word in particular always tugged the most painfully at her consciousness. It was a word with no meaning, a gibberish sound that the girl would always bring up. What could it possibly mean? Whatever it was, Nepeta didn't like the way it made her feel.
Maybe if she said something about it, told her that whatever a Nepeta was it wasn't here, she'd finally leave her alone. She'd miss the meat of course, but it was certainly worth stopping the funny feelings in her head.
"No Nepetas here. Go away." Her voice is rough and a little breathy from disuse, which must make the way it floats out of the cave even more disconcerting. Nepeta still isn't sure this is the best idea after all the days of silence, but she wanted the girl to leave leave leave.

"I don't know any of the things you're talking about."

"You did, or...you do. Somewhere, I think!"

Jade was right to keep her distance. This conversation was quickly disturbing Nepeta, to the point where she wouldn't think twice about taking a swipe at the girl if that would make her shut up.
