Dark Future Meme (as requested)
[We know who it is we want. We have a collective mind.
We don't miss a single step. We're always right behind.
We know we serve someone else. We have swallowed our pride.
We march to this tune of loss. We take this in our stride.]
Ten years later, humanity and the synthetic life on the station are at odds
Hypatia has inducted as many citizens of Sacrosanct into a private military and launched
an all-out war against organic life and the people of Asphodel.
Some were kept on the station as captives, some escaped down planet-side
to become part of the resistance, and countless others were re-purposed into
Hypatia's willing slaves.
Where will you be?
How this works:
-If you are synthetic or part-synthetic, OR if you have special armor (Looking at you, Spartans, Troncast, EVERY ROBOT EVER) you are a target for re-purpose.
You can still have escaped down to the planet, but she'll be after you. Going to the station is dangerous, once you enter her wide-area-network you are at risk of being hacked
-If you are fully organic, you are either dead, kept prisoner and made to work on the station, or part of the resistance on Asphodel.
-Anything in-between? You decide. Be creative with this.
-Fill out the form below to give us an idea of what your character is up to, what happened to them etc. Thread with each other! RP it out!
-Also, bring in your extra journals! There won't be the same people on the station ten years from now! If you're planning to app someone, or just have something interesting lying around, toss them in!

"What I actually mean was, we need to put our pasts aside. They're... rough, and we need to learn from them. But we also need to dismiss the past and just focus on the future, no matter how much it hurts."

"What are you getting at, Egbert? Because the wordspew vomiting from your noisehole makes about as much sense as something else that might happen to spew out of any other of your orifices. "

For a moment, nothing happened. But then he felt the electrical signals hit the synthetic eye. He could feel it swivel in the socket replacement, move slighty on its own, he could -see- the data stream pouring in from a built in heads up display, and his heart pounded as he realized that this might hurt Karkat more in the long run if he knew one of his best fighters had robobits.

Karkat stops testing fate and rocking that goddamn table.
"...You..."

"Well, that didn't work out so well. She got to test some stuff on me first. I'm still -me-, and from what I can tell there's no robobits in my head that would make me turn on you guys... but if we ever make a push on the station again, I'm going to be half-blind, or worse." He grit his teeth. Closing both eyes now and applying focus to straighten out the robotic one under his eyelid. "Been hiding it for ten years, and considering how it feels like things might change soon, I figure it's best you know."

He has to see it. Has to see it move unnaturally. See the iris dilate and focus in ways that aren't linked to John's real eye. Watch as it swiveled and watched. Watched.
A fucking robotic eye always watching.
"You fucking idiot." This time, Karkat clamps his own hand over John's eye. His other grips John by the collar of his shirt and shakes.
"You fucking idiot."
"YOU FUCKING IDIOT! YOU'VE-- THAT'S BEEN HERE?! ALL THIS FUCKING TIME?! AND YOU HONESTLY, HONESTLY, DIDN'T THINK IT WAS IMPORTANT TO LET ME KNOW? LET US KNOW?"
Karkat pauses, removing his hand to get one more look at the eye. It's only for a second though, because soon after, he lifts John off his feet and forces his back against the wall.
"She's probably been watching this whole--" SLAM. John, meet wall. Wall, John. -- "fucking--" SLAM. "--TIME." SLAM.
