[Joe spends the time quiet and still in stature as he leads her to the teleporter. The skipping was a surprise.]

[Welp, through the teleporter they go. On the other side Joe pauses and clears his throat.]

You know, I really rather like it! I just wish I could sort of come and go, visit my remaining siblings.

Ya got family? Huh, never heard ya mention that before.

I have a huge family! Most of them have left, however. Always moving about, that's the amorph way. I have a sibling staying with me still, though. Kori, mostly female. Works in my cafe back home!

I had parents.

Well, they're dead or 'missing' if ya'd believe the people back home.

Dad just disappeared one day when I was a little kid. Its only been a few years since Mom did.

Hmm...I meant, tell me about them as people. It's not my place to ask after their deaths or disappearances yet.

Right. Well, Dad. Dad was one a the few left who knew what hard work meant. Probably why he's gone. He had his convictions and stuck to 'em. He's the one who taught me everythin' I know about bikes and bein' a man.

[Welp, the nostalgia of the memories surfacing are helping keep Joe's mind off of Camille and his currently boosted feelings.]

Mom was wonderful. Watched after me, always worryin', but in a good way. Didn't want me gettin' hurt or disappearin'. I just wish I hadn't caused her so much trouble toward the end there.
