OKAY SINGLINGS, IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN. By which I mean it's been a while since we've had this meme pop up! Here's how it goes;

CHARLES ON WOLVERINE

      Can be summed up as: LOGAN Y U DO. Charles was getting along with him quite handily until they had that little Difference of Opinion re: Raven, and now he's just sort of irritated because his #whiteboyprivilege / #invisiblemutationprivilege has been sort of railroaded. Charles is also desperately irritated that it caused Logan to lose esteem for him because he was quite enjoying the respect that Logan has for his older counterpart. Having to deal with losing face when contrasted against a version of himself some fifty years in the future is extremely annoying to him. He's torn between going YOU CAN'T JUDGE ME BY MY OLDER SELF and realizing that would sound incredibly petty and whiny.

     Basically, Logan is making him confront some unpleasant things about himself, which is a role Charles usually fills for other people. As far as role reversals go it's absolutely staggering. He's off-balance to an extent he's never known before. Not only did this dude show up and tell him HEY YOU'RE GONNA BE IN A WHEELCHAIR (which Charles currently thinks won't happen until he's too old for it to matter because HOW COULD IT HAPPEN TO HIM WHEN HE'S YOUNG AND INVINCIBLE) and HEY YOUR BEST FRIEND TRIES TO USE YOU TO KILL THE HUMAN RACE and yeah. Charles is sort of unsettled by all of this.

     That said, despite his irritation (which is equally at himself for being irritated in the first place), he respects Logan quite handily, even if he wants to psychically punch him in the face sometimes. IT'S THE BEGINNING OF A BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP.
