OKAY SINGLINGS, IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN. By which I mean it's been a while since we've had this meme pop up! Here's how it goes;

Chellbot makes Rattmann's head hurt forever in ways he didn't think even existed. He's familiar with the concept and possibility of alternate universes, but this particular one only serves to make him feel even more wracked with guilt than usual in regards to a Chell because he can't fathom any way this could have happened except him fucking up royally. He doesn't know whether to laugh or cry about the fact that apparently there's a version of him that's even more useless than this one.

He also worries a lot more about Chellbot than the normal Chell because AIs/robots inevitably lead to rampancy, and that's something that he doesn't really want to think about. Despite her being a robot (which triggers like all of his freakout buttons) she's still Chell and he trusts her more than anyone else, including himself. He'll keep believing that she's too stubborn to give into mechanical insanity, even if sometimes he has to lie to his own insanity.

Double the Chell also means double the paranoia, unfortunately. With the possibility of being sought out by more than one person Rattmann is making an even more concerted effort to keep moving, rarely staying in one place for more than a day or two. He's going to tire himself out pretty quickly that way, but shame and guilt is a powerful motivator.
