Before that, though, and if Eri can ever explain himself well enough to Eq for him to get over it... Here in Sing now that Eri's chilled the fuck out a bit, got his quadrants filled? Eq doesn't dislike him nearly as much anymore and wouldn't even mind hanging out. He is a highblood and a forevveralonebro, after all.

Still doesn't really like him, though.

Okay I blackship Vri <3< Eq like whoah but I try to keep that out of my games, especially since her quadrants are pretty neatly tied up already. :P
Vriska is a huge bitch and he wouldn't have it any other way. She's a step below him in blood, sure, but he generally considers her an equal (usually only commenting on his superiority to irritate her or when she pisses him off). Like most bluebloods they have a history of backstabbing and other bullshittery but they remain on good terms.
He genuinely respects her opinions (he's certainly not holding back abuse of Davesprite's, uh, sprite-ness out of fear or kindness, after all). Eq also generally wants to stay in her good graces and would prefer to be on her side in most disputes, and not just because he knows she can be dangerous.

Speaking of, holy shit! Equius has no idea what to do here! He doesn't even want to go cull Sollux, because if he's who can make Aradia happy then so be it. It's left him in a weird place. He hates Sollux and wants to think of him as a lesser, but the guy has bested him in almost every conceivable way now. How is that possible, with his disgusting inferior blood!?

He still doesn't like her, but she's definitely Eq's least hated of the kids.

Now they're at Sing. They're not in the game anymore, so Eq doesn't really need Karkat as a leader and finds him mostly annoying. At the party, Eq played mental connect the dots and despite the alcohol remembers Karkat's mutant blood, but... What does mutant mean? Sure he's an aberrant, but is he unnaturally low or unnaturally high? It is truly a conundrum.
Karkat, despite having such an outwardly low threshold for bullshit, seems to be one of the few trolls that will put up with the sweaty douche. Even if that were purely because it's the "leaderly" thing to do, Eq is noticing that and he appreciates it.

Re: Equius Zahhak
Dave is pretty STRONG, if not in pure physical muscle then in skill and his time powers, and Eq can respect that. He can also relate to bottling up emotions and hiding behind some cooldude shades, but Dave's apparent insincerity about... Well, everything completely infuriates him. Plus there's the whole thing where he still blames Dave for dooming them to extinction no matter how many people tell him it wasn't their fault.
In Sing especially, Dave's troll mutations really get under the blueblood's gray skin: he's not a troll, he's a freak and a mockery of real trolls, and being rails with Sollux makes him easier to hate by association.
That all said, if Vriska can tolerate him enough to keep up a blackmance then Equius thinks there's gotta be some kind of redeeming quality there. He just can't (and doesn't care if he ever does) see it.

Aradia showing up in Sing was one of the best things that had happened to Equius. She made him want to change, not just because it would put him on her good side, but for himself too. If the lowest of the low in their society could be so... Perfect, even after losing everything, experiencing blue bloodedness, then going back to her old self and regaining emotion, maybe he'd been wrong about everyone else?
Aaaaaaand then that went sour. Eq's not even upset, he just wants her to be happy. Why did he think he could change? She's better off without him now, he thinks. He's still working through a lot of things and doesn't really know what else to do but avoid her, and some part of him thinks Sollux was right: he's bad for her in every sense, and that just makes the whole thing worse.
