First, that is the cutest icon in existence.

Okay. So Buffy pretty much has decided that her mission in life is to be Karkat's friend. To be there for him and support him and watch movies with him and just love him so determinedly that he gives in and trusts her and lets her be there for him.

Were he a few years older (aka - at least 17 or 18) or she was significantly younger, she'd definitely be crushing on him, but as it is, she just... there's something about how constantly grumpy and angry he is that makes her want to cuddle him.

She understands that he isn't going to like... turn into a sweet, calm kid. She understands that he has a reputation to uphold and he'll always be kind of adverse to affection, at least on the surface, but...

I don't know. She feels like there's something about him that calls to her. She doesn't realise it, but it's probably the shared self-loathing. Buffy hates herself for betraying her friends and causing people to get killed. There's just something about Karkat's anger that screams "I hate myself". Well, that and the fact that he was so adamant about no one complimenting him.

So. Basically she's going to love him into loving her. Platonically.
