If she's noticeably gathering information, she would be relevant to Kait's interests? Kait prefers to have all the information, and the lack here is bothering her.

(Kait is The Police, though - so if Gem is behaving 'criminally,' this would either be problematic or a source of delicious conflict.)

Gem tries not to do 'criminal' things--though her definition of that, and Kait's might be *quite* different.

But definitely, Gem would love to band with others to get more information.

Kait mostly focuses on the big 'murder, rape, pillage' crimes, but she's also... um, obsessive about her job. She'd probably give Gem a hard time about anything someone on our world would find illicit, anyway.
