Since he will probably start pestering about cars eventually. And about Convoy's malfunction during the species swap (which Convoy is obviously free to shoot right back at him).
... he won't nag about these things at the same time, of course. That would probably turn out as all sorts of wrong.

Convoy can always wheedle for information about Anon's epic freakout at Jalenbraxas before Anon can start about Unicron-horns. It's not like Anon will try to hide the reason, since he's a terrible liar.
