The Song Drabble Meme
the song drabble meme
It's pretty simple and fun, folks. This is how this works!
( 01 ) Have a playlist ready! Don't use all your songs--try and narrow it down a little.
( 02 ) Let everyone know how many songs you're working with. Also, which characters you would be willing to write about.
( 03 ) Others tag your post, picking a character or pairing or friendship or familial relationship or whatever, and then choose a number from your list.

( 04 ) Write a drabble related to that song, using that/those character(s)!
Take as long as you need; there's no time limits here!
And here's some helpful HTML to make it pretty!

New York Counterpoint Part 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0pgm1idg7Y&feature=related)
by Steve Reich (mine was a professional recording, but this was the best I could find on Youtube.)
--------
It was never quiet – never for long – on any recon mission involving Jun. The Spartan sniper was content to just let whatever came to his head roll on out his mouth, and it seemed there was no lack of material.
Which is probably why he and Rookie made such a great team – Jun filled the silence of the mission with information, anecdotes, and whatever odd thoughts came to him, and Rookie digested and filtered and knew just what parts to utilize and which to ignore. He'd found all of it served some purpose or another, from the way Jun could blindly identify gunfire, to the odd little quips that eased the tension while waiting for a target to come into view.
“If it's a low enough frequency, cows can hear it from about two miles away.” As a Spartan Jun's hearing was much sharper than Rook's, but nothing to that level. The ODST tilted his head in consideration, and then joined Jun in spying on the herd on the other side of the valley in the Garden Zone. “They can also smell stuff from about five miles out. Isn't that weird?” Jun turned and followed a loose trail up into the foothills as they scouted out the area, looking for signs of their quarry. He continued pattering on about bovine for a while, then somehow that lead into a lecture on Warthog distribution in the outer colonies. There was a connection, somehow, it had just been one of the things Rookie deemed better to acknowledge with a slight nod and dismiss with as much.
As they came to a high rise, Rookie looked back down at the herd, and paused curiously, waving for Jun's attention.
“Hey, look--”
Sniper rifle up, Jun scanned the herd, which were casually looking up and glancing over to the north, ears perked. The sniper laughed, and gave Rook a hearty bro-punch to the shoulder. “Fantastic! Looks like they'll lead us right to our prey! Good eyes, Rook.” He adjusted their path accordingly, and as they stole ahead into the forested foothills towards the hidden encampment, Rookie listened and filtered and digested a tirade about the lack of sufficient ammunition stocks.
