Tucker and Shepard. Always - Erasure

They had been unpacking some stolen goods into their new base when Tucker said she was taking a break and promptly disappeared. Shepard shrugged, put the blame on the other woman's general laziness and decided to find her if she didn't come back in five minutes with some water for the both of them. It had now been more than five minutes and she hadn't seen Tucker at all.

Shepard frowned and walked towards the door she saw Tucker leave out of, following the faint sound of music.

Aaaaalways I wanna be with you, and make believe with you~
And live in harmony, harmony~
Oh love~

She found Tucker sitting on an empty crate, staring intensely at the holo-screen and tapping and swiping her fingertips across it.

"What are you doing?" She asked, slowly raising an eyebrow. Tucker promptly looked up, flailed around and stared at her with wide eyes.

"Holy fuck! Where did you even come from?" An explosion sounded in the background and Tucker looked back at the screen and cursed.

Shepard offered a dull stare in return. "We were supposed to be unpacking."

"Yeah yeah, I know. But I found this really fucking old game in the database of this place and it was kinda fun. So yeah..." She grabbed the edges of her screen and turned it towards the Commander. "Wanna try it?"

Shepard looked at the overwhelmingly purple screen before staring back at Tucker, chuckling a bit. "This doesn't seem like the kind of thing you'd play."

"Yeah? Well, it grew on me. Tap to jump, tap twice to double jump and swipe the screen to dash," Tucker shoved the screen closer to her and moved around to her side, tapping the screen before Shepard could protest. She grinned, "Better hurry up or you're going to lose."

Shepard never lost.

They got no unpacking done for the rest of that day.
