HEADCANON MEME

Alternatively, someone can ask you a specific question about the headcanon you have for a certain character. This gives you the option to answer questions pertaining to certain subjects, or think about a question you hadn't considered/answered with your headcanon yet.

There's no limit to the topics or the amount of times someone can ask about a character. It can be huge things like how their life was before their canon, or something smaller like their first time making sweet sweet... um, baked goods for the family. As long as you think it's something that is accurate to your character but it isn't in their canon.

Anyway, yes, absolutely. I try to play fast and loose with Bro's backstory, but there's a fantastic fanfic by a guy on the forums (Sionnan, who just writes all the best Strider fic, all of it) wherein a dude calls the social workers down on Bro because he's making pornography with a minor present.

Bro pretty legitimately flips the fuck out due to fear that they might take Dave away from him, and actually - gasp - CLEANS THE APARTMENT.

So stuff like that. I think he tends to flip out when things genuinely for reals threaten Dave that neither he nor Dave are properly equipped to deal with.

1) Before Sgrub she had a Troll Deviantart account that she constantly updated with terrible pictures of her Flarp character and spidersona. Anyone who flamed her SWEET ARTS was then challenged to a duel, manipul8ed, and fed to spidermom.


2) Yeah okay the bird phobia might've started off as D_M shenanigans but it's now totally my headcanon. STOP CAWING AT HER, ORANGE ASSHOLE, IT GIVES HER THE HEEBIE-JEEBIES.

3) I don't consider this game!canon because it'd affect Eridan's player but whatever :B The whole "BE A FAIRY, SNOG TAVROS' FACE OFF, WIN AT ROMANCE FOREVER" incident was her first kiss. Which by extension means that she never did any hate-fuelled making out with Eridan. She was totally planning a similar stunt for him before their kismesissitude fizzled out, though.

All three of them genuinely like it here for completely different reasons.

1. Zombie has mixed feelings; in the end it balances out to "okay with it" but that's because Zombie's rather okay with a lot of things. He's upset at being away from the people he loves (ESPECIALLY Hanna) but he's truly enjoying meeting so many new people, especially since no one seems all that bothered by his walking corpse status. He can live a life that's close to normal (for Sacrosanct anyway) without having to hide what he is.

2. SHODAN is loving all these new toys and people to toy with. She was also 'born' on a space station, albeit a much smaller and less advanced one, so in some ways Sacrosanct is like coming home to her. It's comfortable, safe, and familiar; hell, in the end of SS2 when she had a chance to build a new universe, she started by re-building Citadel, the station she came into being on. So yeah, this is home.

3. Bro gets to live. There's a few signs in the comic that Bro's death is coming (I called it pretty much the first time he started fighting Jack, tbh, I just didn't want to believe it) and I can't imagine that he didn't know on some level what was coming (especially because of how the Striders are related to the element of Time) I think, like any sane human, he didn't want to die, even if he knew it had to happen, so being on Sacrosanct is a way to keep the timeline intact (ie, he's not in it) but still perhaps actually get to live his life.

Kaylee thinks the station is super neat, but is freaking out that everyone lives so far apart. She's a little better now that Euphie lives with her...but not waking up to see someone tromping around in underwear or have someones hanging wet laundry in her face is really starting to bum her out.

Kaylee secretly stalks all the cute little critters on the station, but she can't keep anything bigger than a goldfish alive...so she watches them from afar. She's deathly afraid she'll kill them all if she brings them home.

She's never met an alien and she really doesn't want to. She has this irrational belief that they're all going to be terrifying murder rapists (and now that they have acid blood and want to burst out of her chest from vents somehow).

Since that last one wasn't a secret, have a bonus:

She's pretty much come to terms with the fact that Rookie isn't Simon, but that doesn't mean she isn't willing to stalk him. Also if she figures out where the Halo house is, she can bring them cookies and hopefully harass the not!Captain and not!Jayne.

1. Dave and Rose only met face-to-face once during those four months, since getting from planet to planet was kind of difficult with an incomplete loop. The meeting was incredibly awkward and involved quite a bit of crying. They never talked about it afterwards.

2. They didn't find out exactly what had happened to John until Rose started figuring out her Seer powers and saw his body through her crystal ball.

3. The reason Davesprite released himself instead of staying to help was because he knew he was going to die soon and didn't want Dave to have to deal with that.

/dives into pile of headcanons

1. The shenanigans to get the code for Fear No Anvil from Hephaestus involved a lot of very complicated time looping and a pile of dead Daves. Even then Dave only barely got away. The denizen was pissed.

2. Dave would have gone back pretty much immediately after finding out how John died. The 'wait, get stronger and learn all we can' idea was all Rose. A little part of him resented her for that because it actually was the smart thing to do but he just wanted to save John and Jade already.

3. This happened.
