IT'S TWO TICKETS TO THAT THING YOU LOVE!

HEADCANON MEME

1. Comment in the post listing your characters.
2. Other will reply with the name of one of your characters
3. You list three things that are your headcanon for that character.

Alternatively, someone can ask you a specific question about the headcanon you have for a certain character. This gives you the option to answer questions pertaining to certain subjects, or think about a question you hadn't considered/answered with your headcanon yet.

There's no limit to the topics or the amount of times someone can ask about a character. It can be huge things like how their life was before their canon, or something smaller like their first time making sweet sweet... um, baked goods for the family. As long as you think it's something that is accurate to your character but it isn't in their canon.

Parker, Leverage
Sarah Connor, T2

Ask me questions, guys, I don't think I have three headcanon facts for either of them.D:

How much does Sarah really trust York, Delta, and T?

[identity profile] theniputitback.livejournal.com 2010-12-22 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh.

Delta, she still thinks of as a mobile encyclopedia or something (1995 canon point, lol what is google). She wouldn't think to call him when she needed help, or be thrilled with the idea of even talking to him one on one when York's not around. Basically, she trusts him because York does, and because he's shown himself to be both reasonable and not an immediate threat.

She still wouldn't hesitate to take him out if there was the slightest sign that he'd gone bad and was a threat to York.

She has a big old blind spot where T is concerned; the most reasonable thing to do would be to melt him down (again), both to keep anyone else from ever getting the technology (never mind that most of the other technology on the station is miles more advanced than a T-800) and to completely eliminate any possibility that he will turn on her.

But - but - in addition to his undeniable uses as a bodyguard/recon partner/etc., there's also the fact that T-800 is the only one on Sacrosanct who really understands, if not Sarah, then at least where she's coming from and what she's seen; the specific threats that she's attuned to. And more than that, there's John. York and Red may make sad faces and give her bracing shoulder clasps (or the raptor equivalent) when Sarah mentions John, but T knows him, and wants to see him safe as much as Sarah does.

TO ACTUALLY ANSWER THE QUESTION - She trusts him more than she should. She's still very much aware of the fact that he could turn on her, and at the moment, since she's unaware that he's back from the Pyramid Head incident, she's looking over her shoulder every five minutes for a Terminator gunning for her. But in day to day life, she's been more or less pushing that potentiality aside, because she really doesn't want to have to think about it.

This may all change once T reappears, especially if she thinks he's out to get her when she first sees him again and she gets freaked out.

York - oh, god. He was, if not the first, then one of the first people here she opened up to about Skynet and the war - and he believed her immediately. Coming as she did from a lifetime of people thinking she's nuts and almost immediately following a three-year stint in a mental institution, where every day she had people trying to convince her that none of it was real, that's pretty significant. She's still wary about Delta, but she's learning to accept the situation; as far as she can tell, York is truly trying to do the right thing by everyone, and she can tell that he's genuine. She's more concerned about his own trust being taken advantage of (perhaps by...oh, I don't know, the AI in his brain going rogue?) than the opposite.

Again, this all may change when/if she finds out that York knew about T coming back and deliberately kept that knowledge from her.

What's Parker's favorite kind of money? Cash, gems, or priceless artifacts?

Sarah: Does she have to take sedatives to sleep in an AI-controlled station?

[identity profile] theniputitback.livejournal.com 2010-12-22 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
I think it is actually canon, not headcanon, that Parker likes cash best. (what follows is headcanon) She loves her expensive gems and so on, but cash money is real, it's there, and she loves the way it smells, the way it feels. She grew up on the streets, more or less, and I think money represents a sort of stability for her that she never had growing up.

Sarah doesn't take sedatives - despite her suggesting them to York, she prefers not to rely on them either. She's had experience sleeping in uncomfortable situations - on the road, on the run, in sketchy motel rooms, dodging police and FBI and Terminators. She isn't getting the best sleep of her life on Sacrosanct, but she's able to put aside all those issues and get the sleep she needs, for the most part.

Three things about both of them. BEGIN.

Also what are their favorite milkshakes?

[identity profile] theniputitback.livejournal.com 2010-12-22 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
Sarah was a freshman in college in T1, waitressing on the side so she could afford her apartment. She never got a chance to decide what she wanted to major in before the Terminator arrived and her entire life changed.

Between classes and work, and then never really having a stable home/focusing on other things, she never had the time to learn to cook. She ate before and after shifts at the restaurant a lot, and grabbed a lot of fast food on campus between classes.

Her favorite milkshake is caramel.

I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PARKER. Ask me some questions. >:(

Her favorite milkshakes are Wendy's Frosties.

But what are Sarah's thoughts on robots.

Sarah's favorite moment with John.

[identity profile] hows-the-knee.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
When John was seven years old, she took him to the town where she grew up and showed him her old house and elementary school, then they went to the park where she used to play. She told him about his grandmother and answered his questions about her childhood and bought him a sno cone, and he played on the playground and ran around the park until dusk. He fell asleep in the car on the way out of town, completely exhausted and happy.

A month later, she tried to blow up Cyberdyne, got caught and was sent to Pescadero mental hospital.

She didn't see him again for three years.

What was Sarah like as a child?

[identity profile] hows-the-knee.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
She was quiet, a good student, never particularly outgoing. She had a few friends at school, but she spent a lot of time as a girl playing outdoors by herself, making up games and stories to act out, and she was happy that way. She also liked reading, a hobby she did her best to pass on to John. She was never close to her dad, and he left her mom when Sarah was in high school, so it was just the two of them from then on until Sarah's mother was murdered in cold blood by a terminator a few short years later.

If anyone had tried to tell her what she'd grow up to be, she would have thought they were crazy. She never thought a lot about her future, but if pressed, she would have expected the normal go away to college, get married, have 2.5 kids story.

Sarah was thrown into motherhood without any kind of support system, and most of her focus is on preparing John for the war, but occasionally she'll have brief flashes of guilt for not giving him the same happy childhood that she had, and make an earnest if poorly-executed attempt to do something nice for him and create a good memory for him. Like buying him an unnecessarily large ice cream sundae that promptly makes him sick.

What was Parker's favorite heist?

Does Sarah go out of her way to explore, or does she stick to what is familiar? Has she ventured into any of the garden zones?

[identity profile] hows-the-knee.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
She normally sticks around Kurzweil/the barracks in particular. She's done some exploring, but really doesn't like to venture far from home without backup (read: T or York).

The only times she's ventured into any garden zones other than Zone 1 are for prearranged meetings with other people or to help York look for his missing girlfriends. She sometimes will go wander around the jungle and ranchland in Zone 1, especially when she's especially homesick or upset - she spent quite a few years living all over Central America with John, including some time training in the rainforest, and just trekking through the jungle for a few hours centers her and helps her feel closer to John.
