IT'S TWO TICKETS TO THAT THING YOU LOVE!

HEADCANON MEME

1. Comment in the post listing your characters.
2. Other will reply with the name of one of your characters
3. You list three things that are your headcanon for that character.

Alternatively, someone can ask you a specific question about the headcanon you have for a certain character. This gives you the option to answer questions pertaining to certain subjects, or think about a question you hadn't considered/answered with your headcanon yet.

There's no limit to the topics or the amount of times someone can ask about a character. It can be huge things like how their life was before their canon, or something smaller like their first time making sweet sweet... um, baked goods for the family. As long as you think it's something that is accurate to your character but it isn't in their canon.

[livejournal.com profile] sgt_crockets; RED Soldier; Team Fortress 2
[livejournal.com profile] feeltheraeg; Kilo Monster; Original
[livejournal.com profile] vespa_americana; Solly; AU

I have tons of useless information for all of them. :|

RED Solly: What's his favorite "map type"? CtF, payload, things like that.

[identity profile] sgt-crockets.livejournal.com 2010-12-22 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
He was stationed out in Granary the longest in his career as a RED mercenary (as determined from the Meet the Soldier video), so I think CP maps are what he's most familiar with. He's stationed at 2Fort now, but capture the flag isn't all that interesting to him because being the second slowest class makes him not so effective at retrieving the intelligence and having to listen to Scout boast about how many times he captured the intel that day grates on his nerves.

At least with CP maps, he can make better use of his skills. It's more traditional warfare that he's used to even before joining RED, so he's more comfortable with the setup. He prefers regular CP maps over Attack/Defend maps because RED always defends and Soldier likes offense the most. This is also why Payload maps are low on his favorite list.

Kilo: TELL ME ALL THE THINGS. No wait. Specifics. Uuuuuh... where does he stay and is there anyone that he will let pet/hug him on the station.

[identity profile] feeltheraeg.livejournal.com 2010-12-22 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
Kilo has several dens from which he alternates is stay Garden Zone 01 and 02 so far. Maybe it's a little paranoia having been like a "fugitive" back in his homeworld, but at least at Sacrosant he can return to old dens if he feels like it. His dens tend to be near water as he likes fish. He'll also bum around in Kurzweil parks if he was bold enough to explore the city and doesn't feel the need to travel back to the garden zones.

As for people he wouldn't crush if they touched him, Kilo wouldn't mind Sakura or Euphie petting or hugging him since their general demeanor was similar to a girl he took care of in his homeworld. He'd probably chill around Shadow and Toothless too. Any non-soldier character are probably on his I-will-tolerate-in-close-proximity list, lol.

Mouse is a wuss. Tell ME all the things about Kilo

Also, why was he all ??? about dragons when he saw Toothless
was it a good thing or a bad thing

[identity profile] feeltheraeg.livejournal.com 2010-12-22 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah! It wasn't much of a thing. Dragons exist in his world. They aren't common, but they aren't extinct. Many native inhabitants of Kilo's home planet view dragons as being messengers of the gods; signs of good or bad omens. Kilo isn't real familiar with the mythos around dragons, but he knows they are important and that inhabitants were looking for the dragons to seek some sort of council. (Old iterations of the character actually had him having some dragon blood, but that got chucked when I realized it's pretty Mary-Sue)

As for stuff like his origins, etc, Kilo is an genetically engineered creature raised by a rag tag group of scientists all in the name of SCIENCE. He was treated well there as a youngun and really did like people at one point. Things went bad though when the company funding the research wanted the scientists to explore military applications which let to Kilo getting doped up with growth and enhancement hormones. Ultimately, the program was shutdown, and by shutdown I mean that the militarized police force came in and destroyed all the evidence, including much of the personnel.

A few scientists evaded the incident with Kilo in tow, but eventually they had to split up to keep under the radar. Kilo wound up in a field of sunflowers where he befriends a young girl named Ayshia who took him into her village and society. Things were almost looking good until Kilo causes an accident that almost got some people killed. That got him deemed as a menace and labeled an outcast. So the guy winds up resenting the world that rejected him, still having to fend off any soldiers that spot him that want to kill him just because they deemed him a monster. Eventually he's picked up by a guy who runs an underground pit fighting ring and he becomes a world class fighting champion, but the whole world crisis event puts a damper on that. That's what I've got set in stone 'til that point. I haven't decided what Kilo's adventure is during the Crisis for sure, but I think it may be something to do with protecting an AI named NIKA who he was familiar with when he was in the laboratories and relocating the scientists but IDEK yet.

And then three random facts since I don't think I could write every single thing about the Kilo Monster in an LJ comment:

His favorite things are food, especially meats and fish, which are still meats. He's actually got a little sweet tooth as well stemming from one of the scientists sneaking pieces of chocolate to him.

Kilo doesn't have much of a concept on gender and sex and any social taboos associated with those topics. He's like 800lb virgin, but it's not like he really cares much about that.

Kilo doesn't seem to be scared of much, except maybe spiders.

RED Solly's favourite movie? NIGHTMARE MODE: favourite non-war movie?

[identity profile] sgt-crockets.livejournal.com 2010-12-22 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I've listed Sands of Iwo Jima as his favorite movie though I've never seen it so I'll just have to trust whoever suggested it to me.

NIGHTMARE MODE: If not a war movie, it would have to be something action-y with explosions and guns which might still qualify as war but I don't know if any other sort of movie would hold Soldier's attention and I'm not real familiar if that genre of movie existed before the 70's and OH MY GOD MY HEAD HURTS.

JUST AS PLANNED!

Does RED Solly EVER become less high strung and scream-y?

When Soldier finally realizes that there is no war to fight, he will probably settle down considerably, and may actually get a bit depressed. Soldier is also strangely very quiet when he's maintaining his equipment and doing drills. He mellows out when he's intoxicated as well.

[identity profile] enough-bodybags.livejournal.com 2010-12-22 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
A mellowed out Soldier would weird Medic right the fuck out. It's tough adjusting to a life where everything isn't crockets and shovels.

[identity profile] sgt-crockets.livejournal.com 2010-12-22 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Soldier doesn't take well to civilian life too well I've found out playing him at another game for almost year. He took up model building and collecting guns and tried raising an army of cats.

[identity profile] enough-bodybags.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
Medic doesn't handle it well, either. He needs things to take care of, in a sense, and he tends to snap when things get too peaceful.
