[He grunts into that, though he's not particularly surprised by it. Rookie just uses his grip on O'Brien's waist to keep in place - just in case - as he shifts his head to take advantage of this. He isn't nearly as awkward, but he can do the rough passionate thing as well as anyone.]

Also O'Brien is having none of your finesse and patience this time, his hands shift to Rookie's face, cupping his cheeks, taking only the shortest of breaths between kisses and nearly biting in his aggression. Obviously the more assertive he is, the less gay it is. Or the less he has to think about it. Or something. ]

That does surprise Rookie, but he lets O'Brien take the lead, leaning into the hands cupping his face while looping his arms around the other Helljumper more tightly. He doesn't quite match the aggression - because if this is some machismo thing, he isn't getting in the way of it - but does a good job keeping up.]

[ Oh it's totally a machismo thing, and O'Brien actually runs out of steam pretty quickly, ending the last kiss and panting softly against Rookie's mouth. This happens when you start forgetting when to take a breath. ]

[Rookie has become well-versed in the art of breathing during kissing, and is apparently unphased. Even if he's trying to let O'Brien lead, he finally breaks down and leans in to nip his lower lip.]

[ He makes a small noise at that, not exactly a protest but glancing down and away in a fit of apparent shyness as all that angry bravado finally runs out. He's still pressed flush against Rookie though, and not making any move to change that. ]
