[Talking about feelings, how does it work. Sarah lets him tilt her chin up, closing her eyes briefly as he bends to brush his lips against her forehead.]

[Sarah laughs, startled but amused.]

[Sarah doesn't shriek as he scoops her up without warning; she's never been the shrieking type. She does gasp a little bit, though, throwing her arms around his neck and hanging on, grinning back widely.]

[ C: He's not really wandering anywhere, just twirling her lazily, and leans in to steal another kiss ]

She'll have a pretty messed up view of human rituals, by the time we're done.

[Sarah tilts her head up to meet him, then smiles and leans her head against York's shoulder. Her life doesn't tend to involve a lot of laziness or doing nothing, and being carried around usually involves circumstances where she's too injured to walk.

[ He heads for the nearest couch, but doesn't set her down, just sits down himself and grins, wide and boyish, really just pleased with the situation. ]

[Sarah rearranges herself on his lap, getting comfortable, and turns to face him, smiling. Positioned like this, she doesn't have to look up to see him; he's right there in front of her.]

[ York grins, curling his arms around her hips, drawing her in to kiss the corner of her lips, chaste and sweet more than anything else. ]

[Sarah leans forward to meet him, then draws back. She takes a deep breath and settles a hand on his chest, laying her palm flat so she can feel his heartbeat.]

I'm good.

[It's...strangely honest; she sounds almost surprised when she says it. She looks back up to his face and smiles gently.]

I'm really good.

[ He lifts a hand to curl it around her wrist, lightly, letting her hand sit on his heart for a little while, and then lifts it up off and kisses the palm of her hand, setting it aside. _{Carolina did the same thing, falling asleep with her head on his chest or her hand on his heart, said it made her feel closer, and he doesn't want to think about that right now.} ]

[ He smiles right back, refusing to think of anyone else. ]

[Sarah would have felt terrible if she'd had any idea that she was duplicating Carolina's habits KIND OF LIKE HER MUN DOES; as it is, she just smiles as York kisses the palm of her hand, settling it on his shoulder when he lets go.]
