so there was this once drunk party last night...

THE MORNING AFTER MEME

Last night was great. You drank, you gambled, you ran around naked, you hooked up with a girl/guy or three-- too bad you can't remember it. Waking up in a hotel bed isn't so bad but...
Who is this person next to you?
You know how it is, folks!

1. Post with your character.
2. Tag other people and try and piece the night together or not. Up to you.
3. Anything allowed so long as muns are cool with it.
4. Profit!

Keywords are relevant, sort of. IT'S LATE.

[Shepard shuddered and let out a disappointed sort of hum as Garrus dropped the purr. She shifted to get more comfortable against his torso, no easy feat but one she'd managed on many occasions.]

Choose now, Vakarian.

You keep that shit up, and neither of us are going back to sleep, risk of migraine or not.

[That earned a low, slightly pained laugh. His voice stayed down in that purr, though.]

Well, I guess that depends on what you want, Commander.

[Garrus liked to call her bluffs, he really did. You'd think, with how many missions they'd gone on where he'd seen her shoot someone in the face, mid-bluff-call, he'd realize she didn't do it very often. This time was almost a bluff.

Half functional and hung over like she'd done thresher acid and eezo shooters? Not a good place to be.

Still, the way that flanged purr crawled up her back. Dammit. Shepard actually growled low in response, half in frustration and half in appreciation. Asshole. It worked every goddam time and he knew it.

Shepard turned over and shifted into a seated position. She went a little fast, and the angle was bad for how sore she already was, but two could play this game and humans were flexible enough that it worried most turians. She could show off too and she straddled his waist calmly, managing to touch almost none of him in the process.

In her most authoritative voice:]

I'm indecisive today. You're my first officer, give me options.

[identity profile] savor-last-shot.livejournal.com 2011-05-07 08:20 am (UTC)(link)
[Honestly, he probably shouldn't be calling her bluff at all. He was tired, had a headache working its way around his skull and he was sore in quite a few places. The hangover probably wouldn't be going away anytime soon, either. Really, a bit of cuddling and going back to sleep would probably have been for the best.

Of course, neither of them have a reputation for doing the safe, sane or reasonable thing. And the way she rolled over on top of him, the way she talked to him, the way she looked, it all sent a little shiver up his spine. After all, he could still see the marks he didn't remember leaving. The little love nips, the faint lines from where he'd scored her (without breaking skin) with his hands. And he already knw that there was probably a bit of chafing on her thighs. Not that chafing ever stopped the two of them.

So he stared up at her and gave her a reply.]

Option one: we curl back up, try to go back sleep and sleep off this hangover.

Option two: we get up, find something to eat and try to soldier through it. Or...

[And his voice dropped back into that flanged purr again and his hands settled on her waist. Her oh-so-supportive waist.]

Option three. We work off the hangover in a... unconventional manner.

[Garrus and bad innuendo were well-acquainted friends.]

[Shepard played at considering, for a few moments, but he could ask for anything in that voice and she'd probably give it to him. Good thing he hadn't figured that out.]

Good variety.

[Shepard's head was pounding but she managed to level a positively criminal look at him. Idly, as though his sternum were a table, she leaned forward and propped her chin on her elbow.]

Not point to soldiering through. All our recon is done. Not our rotation on watch.

[She drummed her fingers against one of the gaps in his chest-plates.]

Sleep is a negligible option; I don't nap well.

Have to go with this unconventional method of yours.

[She shifted and her thighs pressed against either side of his waist. They scratched her all to hell, but she couldn't care less. This idea was seeming less and less terrible--so long as they didn't decide to wrestle first. Being suddenly flipped over would have...unwanted side-effects.]

[identity profile] savor-last-shot.livejournal.com 2011-05-07 08:47 am (UTC)(link)
[Well, he didn't the fact that she was leaning all over him. His head minded, of course, but he'd ignore that for a little while.]

That's fairly daring of you, Shepard.

[His grip tightened on her hips, but even hungover, he was careful not to cut flesh.]

Typical.

[And he felt her legs, the soft warmth of her thighs pressed against him, the strange (perfect) way her body molded against his. She really had ruined him for turian women at this point, some small part of his mind had to admit. He didn't flip her - but he did lean forward and to nose at her cheek.]

[identity profile] cmdr-renegade.livejournal.com 2011-05-07 09:08 am (UTC)(link)
[As much as they talked the talk (and backed it up on more than a few occasions), Shepard always enjoyed this sort of thing the most. She'd never admit it to anyone living or dead, but she did. Shepard took the implied kiss for what it was and pressed her forehead against the side of his, the spot where his visor usually rested.

Her head was throbbing, but pressing it against something solid helped. Shepard closed her eyes briefly but that didn't affect her best command voice.]

Typical? Am I getting predictable?

[Shepard stretched up a hand and pressed it against his neck before sliding it up and behind his fringe.]

I should fix that.

[She had to shift her weight forward to really get good purchase behind his head, especially as he relaxed his neck. His grip on her hips helped for stability but all this ridiculous foreplay had her blood far from her head.

Shepard leaned foward and actually swooned as her headache pulsed. It was accidental, but she managed to butt the full weight of her head against Garrus's forehead and pin her hand at an awkward angle beneath them.]

Goddammit--[Shepard blinked, but didn't pull back. Oh god nausea, there you are.]--I-I retract my previous decision. Option 1 is the winner.

Maybe I'm just getting better at reading you.

[There was a smile in his voice. Teasing Shepard was fun by itself, after all. He let his eyes close - helped with the light sensitivity, anyway - and made a little noise of pleasure as her fingers slid back.]

Or maybe I've just gotten better at guessing-

[That's when playing chicken with a hangover swings from, "exciting, but mildly uncomfortable" to "very uncomfortable and only a little exciting". He frowned - well, it was there in his voice. A bit hard to frown without lip - and sat up, despite the accompanying throb in his head.]

...probably a good idea.

[As much as he enjoyed the idea of sex that he could actually remember, making sure he and Shepard didn't end up miserable little balls of pain and misery for the next day or two was a bit higher up on the priority list. He slid an arm around her for support.]

I'll have to get you when we're not nursing the mother of all hangovers.

[identity profile] cmdr-renegade.livejournal.com 2011-05-07 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Agreed. Rain check.

[Shepard climbed off him gingerly and dropped back to the bed, pulling Garrus with her. Despite her earlier objection, she could probably sleep for the next few days if this headache persisted. She took a moment to get comfortable again and, before she closed her eyes, she managed:]

Next one conscious has to look for painkillers.
