so there was this once drunk party last night...

Who is this person next to you?
You know how it is, folks!1. Post with your character.
2. Tag other people and try and piece the night together or not. Up to you.
3. Anything allowed so long as muns are cool with it.
4. Profit!

Creator of what.
[start making sense, freaky clone guy.]

The Grid. My home.

... are you sure you're not hallucinating.

[ blank, exhausted stare. He'd be more eloquent if he could brain. ]

[This is how much he believes you, Jalen. So much.
... oh, fuck this noise, he might as well be trying to get rehydrated. It'll at least help some with the pounding headache and general feeling of very stabby cotton wool lodged in his head.]
D'you want some water?
[He'll get up and get it here in a second. No, really.]

[ And with that, Jalen turns over so his face is buried in the pillow, breathing evenly. He just needs to rest for a while longer, and then he can. Properly process things.
At least his doppelganger is a nice man. ]

He knocks back a whole glass of water and refills it while in the bathroom; telling himself that he will feel better soon, however, does not help with the pounding headache.
He finally notices the disc affixed to Jalen's back as he walks back from the bathroom, which causes a bit of a double-take--as do the faint white lines running along Jalen's back and arms. (They're not scars, Stephen doesn't think; not raised enough, and they're too bright.) He just sets the extra glass on the bedside table, trying to leave it within reach, and then slides back over to his side of the bed with his second glass of water.]

He doesn't immediately feel better, but it's something. ]
Thank you.
[ pause. ]
I'm sorry. [ he offers a tired smile. ] Under normal circumstances, I would have learned your name by now.

[There's a quirk to the corner of Stephen's mouth that suggests a smile--or maybe a smirk--but his voice is even (if still a bit rough around the edges).]

It's unfortunate we should meet under such... unusual conditions, but I'm pleased to make your acquaintance all the same.
[ he's too exhausted to really care about awkwardness. Stephen hasn't flipped out, so there's no reason why Jalen ought to. ]
