They are probably going to see each other again. Hawke might be patronizing, but she likes 'im.

Hawke likes Shepard for appreciating her humor in the face of WTFery, and not getting all "LOL GET SERIOUS B|" like she's accustomed to. She sounds like a lady who knows her business, which piques her curiosity. Avast, prepare to be flirted with!

PS: He makes a terrible wardog. Taking him into battle is not recommended. Unless that battle is against squirrels. Then he is very effective.

Maybe if she finds her mabari in the junkyard he can train Dug to be a REAL predator. Yeah. Death and demon of squirrels all over space.

That Mabari has a college education on Dug. I'm amazed Dug has been trained in anything. BUT HE'S CUTE AND FLUFFY, so it works out.

Hawke likes Sam, he's adorable when he gets all fluster-y. And she likem dem tall dudes.

BUT SERIOUSLY, Hawke always appreciates someone being helpful without simultaneously dangling a return-favor over her head. Consequently she also thinks he may or may not be a bit naive, but she'll be watching carefully to see if he's someone she'd be up to trusting.
