Ten years later, humanity and the synthetic life on the station are at odds
Hypatia has inducted as many citizens of Sacrosanct into a private military and launched
an all-out war against organic life and the people of Asphodel.
Some were kept on the station as captives, some escaped down planet-side
to become part of the resistance, and countless others were re-purposed into
Hypatia's willing slaves.

Now, tensions are at a peak and both sides are preparing for a throwdown. Skirmishes break out on the station and planet. Many of Hypatia's prisoners have been freed, but many more have fallen to the clutches of reprogramming.

Where will you be?

How this works:
-If you are synthetic or part-synthetic, OR if you have special armor (Looking at you, Spartans, Troncast, EVERY ROBOT EVER) you are a target for re-purpose.
You can still have escaped down to the planet, but she'll be after you. Going to the station is dangerous, once you enter her wide-area-network you are at risk of being hacked

-If you are fully organic, you are either dead, kept prisoner and made to work on the station, or part of the resistance on Asphodel.

-Anything in-between? You decide. Be creative with this.

-Fill out the form below to give us an idea of what your character is up to, what happened to them etc. Thread with each other! RP it out!

-Also, bring in your extra journals! There won't be the same people on the station ten years from now! If you're planning to app someone, or just have something interesting lying around, toss them in!

Name: Joe
Current location: Asphodel
Current Physical Appearance: Joe's in his 30s now and his age is starting to show although it is rare that he removes his helmet now. He's gotten physically stronger and is much more scarred. He really should have asked Light for armor early on.
Summary: When it became apparent that Hypatia was done letting everyone stay, it wasn't even a question if Joe would leave and join the resistance. He had fought against Wily, however shortly, back home and he'd fight again here. After all, he had his adopted family to protect and he'd would not lose anymore family. Sadly, the fact that Megaman, both of them, stayed behind has stayed with him. Yes, one stayed to hold off Hypatia and one stayed to join her but, he still feels as if they're both lost forever since he cannot blame his Megaman for his anger. Sure, most of the trolls joined the Resistance as well and that would give some happiness but, only one was ever really family.

While Joe has gotten more experience and a lot more scars, he has not gotten anymore careful than that night with the Sniper. He goes out on missions every time he can in hopes of finding anyone he knew that stayed behind, even if they joined willingly. His main hope is to find Megaman, to show him again that this place isn't like home. Perhaps even to die by him. Joe has long since known that there are things worse than death and this new life is one of them. So he fights Hypatia's robots whenever the chance arises, he doesn't really care much about his own safety anymore. It's just another overlord using robots to him and he's willing to die again for the cause if it means sparing one of the others he once considered children.

Having only started to cycle down, the pressure against him wakes him up immediately. Nemesis's dark optics snap towards the figure, narrowing slightly...

...before they, as well as he, relax. For a moment, there's a glimmer of color, so faint it may as well not even be there...

"...I will take first watch."

After all. It's not only them in the tunnels. I need him alive. If only for now, so that when - not if - trouble comes, he will assist.

It's always dark -- sometime in the past she was scared of the dark, she thinks. But that was a long time ago, and Jade doesn't fear any more. They erased that part of her, like so many others, jumbling everything into a blur of reality and fiction. There's a long pause as she figures out what to say; coherency is something that she struggles with on a day to day basis, her speech garbled and sometimes practically indiscernible. So pauses are common now. So much so that she doesn't think she could speak otherwise.

"Yeah, it was nice. I spied on people, but Sollux is always keeping me out of their systems and that's a good thing I want them tono shut up shut up-- anyway, I'm fine. Are you okay?"

"That name is meaningless to me."

One of the few remnants from 'Convoy' - the title of Prime is an empty, hollow one. And everything else? Everything else holds little more. Ramjet is regarded with dead optics, his words falling upon only-so-deaf audials.

But to answer is to tempt her. To answer is to write it to memory, to invite her or one of hers to read that and read him, and to invite more reprogramming. For all that he still bears the processor of an Alternity, she has damaged it; he can only resist so much.

Instead, he will keep his plans only in his spark, a place where the only safety is the thought of destruction and an end.

But it is safety enough. Safety enough from a mindless thrall. I have only one Master, he has told himself before, and sometimes that bittersweet knowledge is what gives his spark the ability to fight back and resist...

"You are to come to Asphodel," he rumbles, so very much like the animal whose form he once wore.

Name: Ladon Ceto
Current location: Sacrosanct, mostly, though he's often sent to Asphodel for recon.
Current Physical Appearance: Part human, part dragon, part machine. Ladon's different forms are now competing for dominance, though his new artificial add-ons keep him from swinging fully into either. The mobster disguise has been cast aside now that everyone has pretty much found out what he is. He's a mess of scales and skin and metal, with a replacement cybernetic eye on the left side of his face, one mechanical leg, and robotics keeping him upright and functional after some pretty terrible damage he sustained in an explosion. His tattered wings and tail are almost always out now, but he still holds on to his hat, if only out of sentimentality.
Summary: During the flight from Sacrosanct, Ladon did what he could to buy the escapees time. Unfortunately, that meant throwing himself into the fray and winding up dead-- or well. Mostly. Regardless, the original Ladon Ceto never came back from that fight. Hypatia has done what she could to indoctrinate him, but he's basically a failed prototype. He's resisted brainwashing, and attempts to fuss with a dragon brain held captive in a human skull would likely just kill him. He stays because of the others left behind, and follows Hypatia's orders in a limited fashion, if only to keep the unwilling, enslaved, and brainwashed from death until they can be freed and/or returned to their right minds. However, he's running out of time. Eventually he's going to outlive his usefulness or cross one too many lines and be decommissioned. Once Hypatia cuts the power to his cybernetics, he'll be dead. That reality is becoming more and more likely in the near future, but if he's going to go out, he's at least going to do what he can beforehand.

If there was one thing, their futures had still been able to intertwine in at least the smallest of ways. Their relationship had... ... it was different now. They had grown much further apart, even to Eridan's wishes for them to try to stick close. Much of it wasn't by choice, of course. When he was pulled into confinement, Eridan kept hope for him that he would be able to return with the others. He tried his damndest to plead his case, but he was just a kid. He was still just that annoying as hell sea dweller.

Who cared what he said at the time. It was just Eridan, even if ten years can change anyone.

On this current day, Sollux would have a guest. He can't even bring himself to keep it professional as he limped his sorry ass up to the system he was hooked to. He... was really trying to be professional. He still couldn't even look at him the same way, he was bitter for his choices. He still hated him, especially because he made that choice.

Fuck the fact that he was to follow his ancestors steps, Eridan had strayed so far from his own, it wasn't fair. It just wasn't fair to him at all. ...But ugh, whatever. As he stopped with few feet between them, he couldn't help but force himself to stand straight, leaning ever so slightly in the direction of his good leg. He began by clearing his throat, making sure his voice as loud and clear as he could bring it to be. "Status report, now."

Reconnaissance again.

At this point, he's unsure of whether Hypatia really has a reason to think the rebellion would be launching an attack soon or if she's doing her best to keep him gone, away from the station for longer periods of time until he simply doesn't come back. Ever since his indoctrination was declared a failure, he's known that his service to Hypatia has been little more than a stay of execution. It's only his willingness to do as she asks that keeps him alive, and it's only a frail thread of hope that keeps him willing. Hope that maybe he can make everything right in the end. Hope that he can free the kids like Jade, enslaved and miserable. Thus why the Goddamn blue bitch keeps divorcing him from them, keeps sending him down here.

He crouches near a porous red rock, tail tracing lines on the dusty surface of the planet. He doesn't expect to see anyone, thus why he cringes when his cybernetic eye detects movement.

Damn it.

[He notices this and his expression becomes neutral. Even though he didn't share the other resistance members' disdain for robots, he knew better than to completely trust a robot.] Yes, I am. "Ah, but it always was. You were named, after all, Prime. You didn't choose it. They're only meaningful insofar as they come from within, reflecting the spark which it's meant to describe and you..." Ramjet pauses, leaned forward, a raised, clawed finger tapping against Nemesis' chestplates with a broken, twisting sound as atoms are ripped into nonexistence from his frame before Ramjet withdraws the hand, and a tiny, open wound along chin and mask in a briefly mocking grin before the metal closes up.

Ramjet'll call Nemesis Prime until he's no more, and his protests doesn't matter. Nemesis Prime, Herald of Unicron, as it were. The first - and in Ramjet's mind, the only - position... existence, he's held. Inescapable.

"I am, am I?" Helm cocked, Ramjet's voice is surprisingly soft, the words eating each other just as the metal of vents are melting. "It's not enough! You know this, her destruction is weak, mundane!" The jet whirls around, arms going wide, tentacles sliding out between cracks, curling around metal and air before the arms are crossed, scattering the minicons up and away. Out of reach.

"Her words mean nothing! The void is singing, dimensions without sound, and Unicron is on the rise. She is meaningless!" Someone's getting frustrated it seems, but the one thing the reprogramming seems to have been able to instill is a command to stay... Which is why he'll destroy this dimension, even if this wasn't his function.

Whoops, plucking the other roboeye out then. Also detatching both legs. YOU HAVE ONLY AN ARM NOW.

"You're going to be us BOTH killed if you keep asking like a goddamn moron." He emphasizes that last word with a pap to Jack's face, "Now, shut up for a second."

There's a bit more panic to his voice than he'd like, but as Jack was bitching, Karkat was hearing some unpleasant things coming from the lab outside. Like robots. Based on their movements, he knew they were surveillance, and it wouldn't take long for them to realize someone had broken in. Fuuuuuck.

If she feels any sympathy for him, it's hidden away behind a face of confusion and suspicion -- and maybe she does, or she did sometime. Jade holds up a light in her hand, so she can see him, this person who's etched so strongly on her memories (or whatever memories she has left).

"Jade's my name." When her thoughts aren't being scrambled by Hypatia's wishes, she sounds almost like a child again -- small and insecure, repeating the most basic of facts to reassure herself. "You were my best friend, and my brother. Right?"

There's a buzz in the back of her head -- thinking about the past might lead to rebellious actions, might cause her to hurt later, to be forced to watch as her own body stabs her in the gut, strangles her to death. "Stop it, I just want to be nice, now leave me alone for five minutes."

If John's ever caught a glimpse of her wiring, he'll know that there are a few parts missing, a few imperfections. Talking to herself helps calm her nerves down, but also has the unfortunate side effect of jumbling her words and ideas together.

No matter how many times Sonic uses the window, it will always scare the pupcat out of Karkat. He practically leaps, throwing the pen he was writing with across the room.

"SWEET MOTHER OF GRUBS, DOORS STILL EXIST. THEY HAVE NEVER STOPPED FUNCTIONING, NOT WHEN THE ROBOTS TOOK OVER, NOT WHEN WE ALL DIE, THEY ARE COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT OF ANY AND ALL HISTORICAL OR AHISTORICAL SITUATIONS SURROUNDING THEM. DOORS ARE THE ONE STABILITY IN OUR WORLD. FUCKING. USE THEM." Nope, gotta deal with Karkat's bitching before you get your favors.

He's losing her to her programing, but the fact that he made contact at all is a massive success. It means there's hope for future contact, be it through him or Dave or John. Karkat considers this a success. A small one, but definitely a success.

"You'll see us again, whether you come with me or not. Because we're not going to give up on you, Jade. It's not going to fucking happen, and you and your programing and Hypatia need to deal with it."

Sometimes, Jade can be seen wandering Asphodel, like she has a purpose.

They know where the rebels are but they just can't get to them -- Sollux keeps them well-hidden and well-protected, which infuriates Jade to no end. But sometimes it just seems like she's there because she's missing something, some part of her life that slipped through her hands in the years after she learned to live with the madness of her broken brain.

And maybe she's acting that way today: lost, a little lonely. John might find her as he wanders from job to job, standing far enough away from the resistance base that it's obvious she's not there to try and attack.

Toby knows she shouldn't go topside. But dammit, she needs to feel the sun on her face sometimes, just to remind herself that the cold darkness of the tunnels isn't all there is in the world.

Something's wrong though. She's not sure exactly what it is, she's not sure if it's instinct, paranoia, or a tingle on the edge of her magical senses, but there's something up here that's not right.

She freezes, listening intently. It's definitely not a worm, those things don't know the meaning of "subtle". She should probably go back inside. Go back inside and make sure someone checks the sensors out there. But blind and useless or not, she's still Toby, and she still wants to figure it out for herself.
