Ten years later, humanity and the synthetic life on the station are at odds
Hypatia has inducted as many citizens of Sacrosanct into a private military and launched
an all-out war against organic life and the people of Asphodel.
Some were kept on the station as captives, some escaped down planet-side
to become part of the resistance, and countless others were re-purposed into
Hypatia's willing slaves.
Now, tensions are at a peak and both sides are preparing for a throwdown. Skirmishes break out on the station and planet. Many of Hypatia's prisoners have been freed, but many more have fallen to the clutches of reprogramming.
Where will you be?
How this works:
-If you are synthetic or part-synthetic, OR if you have special armor (Looking at you, Spartans, Troncast, EVERY ROBOT EVER) you are a target for re-purpose.
You can still have escaped down to the planet, but she'll be after you. Going to the station is dangerous, once you enter her wide-area-network you are at risk of being hacked
-If you are fully organic, you are either dead, kept prisoner and made to work on the station, or part of the resistance on Asphodel.
-Anything in-between? You decide. Be creative with this.
-Fill out the form below to give us an idea of what your character is up to, what happened to them etc. Thread with each other! RP it out!
-Also, bring in your extra journals! There won't be the same people on the station ten years from now! If you're planning to app someone, or just have something interesting lying around, toss them in!

Current location: Sacrosanct
Current Physical Appearance: Megaman now wears a full face mask (much like his brother did, once) and carries a broken, scarred shield... again, his brother's.
Summary: Hypatia didn't have to convert him. She didn't have to reprogram him, she didn't have to do a single thing to make him hers, not on her own.
All she had to do was let him remember home.
He stood before the gathered crowd of humanity as they chanted his name, as they implored him to Kill Protoman! They screamed, but did not move. They would not move. They chanted and they cried and then --
He cannot remember if he was the one who fired the shot, or if it came from elsewhere. It doesn't matter -- in his mind, it was him, in his mind, it was because they made him do it.
He held his brother in his arms, he watched his brother die and listened to humanity ask him why he cried. Why he bothered to mourn.
And as the slaughter started he only had this to say: "And you are the dead."
To Megaman, humanity was already dead. They would always be dead to him. They had made him kill his brother, they had failed to stand against Wily and here, on Sacrosanct, they had failed to stand against Hypatia. The evidence was all there. They fled to the planet and cowered in their hovels. Just like home. All the same, every last one of them.
He is Her monster, he is Her Knight. No commander, no, he's not nearly sane enough for that, not nearly directed enough. Megaman is merely a weapon, a creature of terror, given command of a squadron of drones as a cursory gesture but mostly just dropped into knots of resistance groups... and allowed to murder.
And yet...
Each time he does he whispers, "Fight back, you corpses, you dead, fight back, do better than this..."
But they never do. His boots are stained with blood and they never, never do...

He said it after he collided with the first drone that had spotted him, sending it into the nearest wall in about four different pieces. He shrugged his shoulders in a 'well-it-can't-be-helped' sort of way. He had really wanted to get a little further along before being spotted, but, honestly, it never panned out that way. As time went on, Hypatia got better at expecting him, and her drones became more accustomed to finding him.
As doing this quietly was no longer an option, he'd have to settle for doing it fast. He ran as fast as he could towards the target, not stopping to fight anymore of the drones. They couldn't stop him, but they could slow him down. And that was the last thing he wanted to do. He hoped, he prayed that if he moved fast enough, he could reach the target, get the prisoners and get to the extraction point fast enough. Before...he showed up.
Sonic pushed the thought out of his mind. Hypatia's Knight had already ruined far too many of his rescue attempts. This time wouldn't be the same. At least, that's what he told himself as he tried to pour on a little bit more speed.

It wouldn't stop him here. All a matter of... timing.
His processors run hot as he tracks that blue blurr, aiming carefully, calculating the speed of the object and just how far ahead he'll have to aim, all the while charging Blind Vengeance.
There. Put the blast just ahead.

He tucks into a ball and rolls around the ground, trying to retain some speed, and rolls out of it into a screeching stop. His vision bleary, his ears ringing and what he's pretty sure is the scent of charred fur flooding his nostrils, he looks around, trying to see where the guy is. That shot was pretty much dead-on, so he can't be too far away, can he?

He's part of the network she's built, but at the same time outside of it. One of the few people he could interface with while at least knowing she wouldn't be tracking him down immediately. He was loyal enough without the plugins.
But that didn't mean it didn't deserve a shot. He send the message, brief but important.
I know you're there. I know you can see this.
Respond already.

We're all the walking dead.

He wouldn't want you to be killing anyone actually trying to fight.

His buster had long since been upgraded, by Light at first and then others of the Resistance. Still, Joe payed a courtesy to his old friend. To the son of Light. He had alerted him with a shot at his feet. Just as he had done when Proto first arrived on the station.
"Hey Mega! I ain't dead yet!"
Joe honestly didn't know if he'd win or survive. He was lucky, his history showed that well enough. Still, he wasn't planning on making it out of here. Joe had no illusions about fighting Megaman. It wasn't going to magically make him snap out of it but, it might be enough to remind him.

"We're all dead, old man," he says, "it's just a matter of when."
Joe's not someone he really wants to kill. "Don't you see? The people you work with, the squabble in the dirt, they come up with their half-baked plans, but there's not a hero among them. Not really. Not even you. And even if there were, that can't fight this."

"As for heroes. Proto seemed ta like enough of us to do what he did. Roll gave up bein' a kid ta fight with us. Eridan's lost an eye, a leg, and he still tries ta help. Yeah, maybe we can't win. This ain't some old man in a tower but, we can give her hell and if she locks us out of here and brings even more new people. We can warn 'em."
