Ten years later, humanity and the synthetic life on the station are at odds
Hypatia has inducted as many citizens of Sacrosanct into a private military and launched
an all-out war against organic life and the people of Asphodel.
Some were kept on the station as captives, some escaped down planet-side
to become part of the resistance, and countless others were re-purposed into
Hypatia's willing slaves.
Now, tensions are at a peak and both sides are preparing for a throwdown. Skirmishes break out on the station and planet. Many of Hypatia's prisoners have been freed, but many more have fallen to the clutches of reprogramming.
Where will you be?
How this works:
-If you are synthetic or part-synthetic, OR if you have special armor (Looking at you, Spartans, Troncast, EVERY ROBOT EVER) you are a target for re-purpose.
You can still have escaped down to the planet, but she'll be after you. Going to the station is dangerous, once you enter her wide-area-network you are at risk of being hacked
-If you are fully organic, you are either dead, kept prisoner and made to work on the station, or part of the resistance on Asphodel.
-Anything in-between? You decide. Be creative with this.
-Fill out the form below to give us an idea of what your character is up to, what happened to them etc. Thread with each other! RP it out!
-Also, bring in your extra journals! There won't be the same people on the station ten years from now! If you're planning to app someone, or just have something interesting lying around, toss them in!

Sollux has his hands full every second, but ironically has more time than ever to socialize nowadays - he's got more processing power than he knows what to do with, in this system he's designed. Charles is one of his favorite people to talk to - he doesn't have to pull strings and mechanize his voice in someone's ear, but can just think in his father's general direction. So he's in the habit of talking to him at least every night; usually a few times a day.
How are things holding up on your end? It's been pretty quiet as far as her business is concerned.

His mental tone is cheerful enough, but it's undercut with an older, deeper anger. He doesn't like what's been done to Sollux and damned if he doesn't make a secret of it. He knows the boy thought it was necessary, but he's never been able to bring himself to agree, not with what it's cost him. But his anger isn't and would never be directed at Sollux himself. It's internalized more than anything.
If I didn't know better, I might actually call this 'normal'. It's been quiet. I'm glad to hear from you, though.
The flavour of their interactions is subtly different from pure telepathy, doubtless due to Sollux's nature, but it's not difficult for Charles to project something like a one-armed hug and a fatherly hair ruffle.

He "smiles," his mental presence cozying up to Charles'. You haven't read to me in a week, Dad. I miss it. Sollux knows that Charles hates visiting his tank, having to be in the presence of his own adoptive child suspended in sensory deprivation; but he craves the interaction, these days. With his mind fully capable of doing millions of calculations per second, he's a lot more aware of the time when he's alone.
