Dark Future Meme

Ten years later, humanity and the synthetic life on the station are at odds
Hypatia has inducted as many citizens of Sacrosanct into a private military and launched
an all-out war against organic life and the people of Asphodel.
Some were kept on the station as captives, some escaped down planet-side
to become part of the resistance, and countless others were re-purposed into
Hypatia's willing slaves.

Now, tensions are at a peak and both sides are preparing for a throwdown. Skirmishes break out on the station and planet. Many of Hypatia's prisoners have been freed, but many more have fallen to the clutches of reprogramming.

Where will you be?

How this works:
-If you are synthetic or part-synthetic, OR if you have special armor (Looking at you, Spartans, Troncast, EVERY ROBOT EVER) you are a target for re-purpose.
You can still have escaped down to the planet, but she'll be after you. Going to the station is dangerous, once you enter her wide-area-network you are at risk of being hacked

-If you are fully organic, you are either dead, kept prisoner and made to work on the station, or part of the resistance on Asphodel.

-Anything in-between? You decide. Be creative with this.

-Fill out the form below to give us an idea of what your character is up to, what happened to them etc. Thread with each other! RP it out!

-Also, bring in your extra journals! There won't be the same people on the station ten years from now! If you're planning to app someone, or just have something interesting lying around, toss them in!

Name: Terezi Pyrope
Current location: Asphodel
Current Physical Appearance: Older, taller, longer horns. She looks a lot like Redglare (oh no, she's hot), minus the teal and red clothing. Glowing like an extra from the set of Tron is not a thing that ever stopped happening.
Summary: Terezi was one of the first ones off the station, thanks to Karkat and his ever-lasting hatred and paranoia against the robot menace. Which was good for her, because honestly? Staying around a place where a nigh-omnipotent artificial intelligence can fuck with the electronics running under your skin and wired into your organs is not a good idea.

She doesn't make as many trips to the station like the other resistance members due to her vulnerability to Hypatia's hacking, but this doesn't bother her that much. She has better things to do. A Seer supports her allies not with her weapons, but with her vision, after all. She constantly abuses her ability to view doomed timelines, tracing the countless chains of events that lead to everyone she knows dying around her, and she does her best to keep those vortices of alternate possibilities from becoming a reality.

[[ have a neutral tag until your response whoops ]]

"Thup, T-to-the-Thee."

Dave ducks under the doorway, careful not to slam the narwhalian monstrosity into the top, and straightens back up to look at the Seer.

"Already thpoke with Karkleth. Raid ended in total victory, in cathe you thomehow hadn't figured that out already or thomething. No casualtieth on our end."

The distinct downside of lisping is that it makes you sound more like your moirail (who happens to be connected through your head) than you already do. You haven't told a single person about your special little neural link. You get the dithintct thuthpicion the troll in front of you knows anyway.

She's kind of terrifying like that.

[[ with emphasis on awkward now that tz has become a sort-of hermit? ]]

Terezi's respiteblock looks like it belongs to a crazy person. It is a mess of chalk drawings and ramblings, flowcharts and notes. It began with little reminders on her hand, then she moved on to whatever scraps of paper she could get her claws on, and when those ran out, the walls of her room. No surface is safe from Chicago Terezi. There's much to be learned from failure, after all.

She barely acknowledges Dave when he walks in; she just holds up a finger -- wait a minute -- and erases an entire section of wall and a little bit of the floor before beginning to scribble anew. Raid Success, she writes, circled, underlined, and with several arrows pointing off in different directions, more possible doomed timelines ready to be explored and charted and mined for information. She's already diving in and marking down what she sees before she snaps herself out of it. Not right now. It can wait just a few minutes.

Right now she has a guest.

She finally turns around to face him, licking the chalk dust off her fingers and stepping lightly over a set of drawings on the floor to poke him in the chest. "No casualties doesn't mean no injuries. Are you okay? And don't bother lying to me, you know I'll know."

To be perfectly honest, Dave's used to it. To be brutally honest, he'd kind of assumed this is what her place has always looked like (maybe with a little more color strewn about). He waits patiently, letting her go through the motions - not like he's got anything to do just yet. They're stocked up on food, a recuperation period is best after a success like that, and their leaders have to come up with the next alternative - so when she turns to face him, it actually comes as a bit of a surprise.

Still, it's not an unwelcome gesture, and he chuckles a bit as she asks her question. "Not a scratch. Only so much Miss Cool Mint upstairs can do to me without her spaceshifter on the job. Pretty sure you soothsayed all that out before sending us out, though, so hey - no news, right?." He sees her hand approaching, almost in slow-motion, and yet he doesn't budge a muscle as she jabs him (lightly) in the chest.

"Nice to see you too, TZ."

It's said without the slightest bit of venom, a tiny smile that most might see as a smirk passing across his face. Thank god for having a Seer in the quadrant that needs it most - he's pretty certain there's no way this would have lasted for ten years otherwise. (Desperation and camaraderie might have helped, too.)

Oh, good. Jade hadn't shown up. The distraction had actually worked. Terezi wasn't absolutely sure it would, and an overwhelming majority of the timelines she had seen included Hypatia's lapdog showing up and wrecking all kinds of havoc. While Terezi did her best to keep that possibility from becoming reality, she was still always interested in hearing how things actually went down. She never saw victory, after all.

"God, Dave, always talking about sight to the blind girl," she says without rancor. "You have hurt the delicate and sensitive feelings I sometimes pretend to have. My emotions are a lone, defenseless antlerbeast, and your unthinking words are wild caninebeasts who have just dealt them a mortal blow. Oh, I am slain."

Poke poke poke gentle paaaaaap to the face. Her expression doesn't change, but there's a crinkle around the corners of her eyes that says I'm glad you're safe.
