Ten years later, humanity and the synthetic life on the station are at odds
Hypatia has inducted as many citizens of Sacrosanct into a private military and launched
an all-out war against organic life and the people of Asphodel.
Some were kept on the station as captives, some escaped down planet-side
to become part of the resistance, and countless others were re-purposed into
Hypatia's willing slaves.

Now, tensions are at a peak and both sides are preparing for a throwdown. Skirmishes break out on the station and planet. Many of Hypatia's prisoners have been freed, but many more have fallen to the clutches of reprogramming.

Where will you be?


How this works:
-If you are synthetic or part-synthetic, OR if you have special armor (Looking at you, Spartans, Troncast, EVERY ROBOT EVER) you are a target for re-purpose.
You can still have escaped down to the planet, but she'll be after you. Going to the station is dangerous, once you enter her wide-area-network you are at risk of being hacked

-If you are fully organic, you are either dead, kept prisoner and made to work on the station, or part of the resistance on Asphodel.

-Anything in-between? You decide. Be creative with this.

She chooses to keep talking to him because even though he doesn't say much (or anything at all, really) she still feels something for him. And so she sits in a chair facing him -- but not even sitting, because sometimes she loses control of what she's thinking and ends up sitting on him, hugging him, kissing him too (even though her mind really doesn't know why any more, it doesn't make sense).

Today is no exception. She's sitting in his lap, foreheads pressed together, using the link between minds created by Hypatia to speak to him.

I miss you a lot.

Unlike her speech, which comes out mangled and upsetting, marred by disunion, her head is clear. Ish. Sometimes she still sounds garbled, particularly when upset.

Dave rarely returns the affection. Sometimes he reacts with mild curiosity, poking at her face and drawing shapes on her cheek. Sometimes he just shoves her off.

Today, however, he's got both hands on Jade's shoulders. It's like he's trying to give her a hug but he's forgotten how to do it. His mind is eerily silent save for an almost audible ? of confusion, but beneath the surface there's still a garbled whisper of higher thought.

It's a plea for help.

I'm trying -- I'll-- There's a glitch in her programming and body twitches, a physical warning not to have those thoughts. But she has them anyway, because what's the worst they can do to her? Have Dave kill her? Have her kill herself?
