Ten years later, humanity and the synthetic life on the station are at odds
Hypatia has inducted as many citizens of Sacrosanct into a private military and launched
an all-out war against organic life and the people of Asphodel.
Some were kept on the station as captives, some escaped down planet-side
to become part of the resistance, and countless others were re-purposed into
Hypatia's willing slaves.
Now, tensions are at a peak and both sides are preparing for a throwdown. Skirmishes break out on the station and planet. Many of Hypatia's prisoners have been freed, but many more have fallen to the clutches of reprogramming.
Where will you be?
How this works:
-If you are synthetic or part-synthetic, OR if you have special armor (Looking at you, Spartans, Troncast, EVERY ROBOT EVER) you are a target for re-purpose.
You can still have escaped down to the planet, but she'll be after you. Going to the station is dangerous, once you enter her wide-area-network you are at risk of being hacked
-If you are fully organic, you are either dead, kept prisoner and made to work on the station, or part of the resistance on Asphodel.
-Anything in-between? You decide. Be creative with this.
-Fill out the form below to give us an idea of what your character is up to, what happened to them etc. Thread with each other! RP it out!
-Also, bring in your extra journals! There won't be the same people on the station ten years from now! If you're planning to app someone, or just have something interesting lying around, toss them in!

[ Wash looks at the both of them, not wanting this to turn into another fight, but there's nothing any of them can really do about it. They can't go back to the way things used to be, together on the station in their little house in the woods, all alone with each other and the closest thing to happy Wash thinks he's ever known.
He comes closer and presses a hand against Sarah's shoulder, letting out a slow breath and looking up at York. ]
It's not okay for us, either, man. I get it, okay? Stop acting like I don't know what you're going through. I get it. But it doesn't change anything.

He's so fucking tired and Sarah's pulling away and sometimes the only thing that makes him feel better is them touching him, distracting him. Wash's hand lands on Sarah's shoulder instead, and York's hands twitch, the empty feeling in his head making his palms itch, but he won't make them do that. ]
I can't stop trying. He wouldn't just. Give up.

[She speaks quietly, looking up at him, leaning into Wash's touch a little bit as he rests his hand on her shoulder.]
Look at yourself. You're exhausted, you're unhappy, you - shit, you could've gotten us all killed tonight.
[She shakes her head, frowning unhappily.]
He wouldn't want to see you like this. Not the real Delta.
no subject
C'mon, man. You know she's right.

He didn't ever think he'd find the day when he'd see Wash and Sarah better adjusted to things. Much as he loves them, he knows that he's the one that's the most unstable now. ]
Yeah.
[ York sits heavily, like he's got weights on his shoulders, and just looks at them for a moment, before finally just looking at Wash, asking something he hasn't ever dared ask. ]
I don't know how to get used to it, Dave.

[ Wash gives Sarah's shoulder another squeeze and moves over to him, pushing his hand into his hair and sliding his arm around his shoulders, tugging him close. It's a familiar motion, the kind of thing York's done to him plenty of times, and he just holds him for a moment, quiet.
He knows how hard this is for York, knows he doesn't know how to do this, but he's got something that had taken Wash a lot longer to find when he'd gone through the same thing. ]
But you've got us. We can help you, just-- stop pushing us away for once.

She moves to join them, after a moment, sitting on York's other side and sliding in close, tucking her head against his chest and wrapping her arms around him.]
We don't wanna lose you, York.
no subject
Both of their hands ease over him, and York curls an arm around her waist, pressing his face into her chest, curling his arm around Wash's waist too, just hugging them for a long moment, fisting his hand in Wash's shirt. ]
I'm not going anywhere, but I-- Jesus, I can't keep my head straight half the time.

[ It's not exactly a good time for jokes, and it's too rough and empty to really have much humor to it, but Wash doesn't care, just squeezing him closer and leaning down to press his head against his. He knows what York's going through, knows how wrong his head must feel after so long with Delta mixed in to every little part of it, and he strokes his hand back and forth through his hair, holding tight. ]
You have us, Sean. You always held us together. Let us do the same thing, okay?
no subject
She raises her head enough to press a kiss into his hair, gentle, and draws back, looking at him with a sigh.]
You're exhausted.
[Disentangling her arms from him, she stands, catching York's hand in hers and tugging gently.]
C'mon. I think we could all use some sleep.
no subject
He's always exhausted, that's not really a new thing.
Just looking at her for a long moment, he looks like he wants to fight about it, but swallows it down, just nodding, standing up between the two of them. He's exhausted but he doesn't think he can sleep with his mind on overdrive like this; he'll come with them anyway, since it's easier when they're there. ]
Sure.
[ It's to her and to Wash's comment, rubbing his eyes to try and chase the burning away, but it doesn't do much good. It's routines he depends on right now, following those rather than anything else, because it's all jumbled and wrong and messed up in his head. ]
no subject
He leans in to press a kiss to his temple and nudges him towards the bed, drawing back enough to tug his jacket off. ]
Just-- c'mere, lie down with us and close your eyes for a little while, okay?
no subject
Sarah kicks off her shoes and turns out the light, letting the weak light from the small window illuminate the room, and pulls back the blankets, crawling in after York with a tired sigh.]
Just try and rest, okay?
no subject
...Shit.
[ York just sighs it out, curling up between the two of them, shrugging his shirt off and unbuttoning his pants, tossing them aside so he's just wearing a tanktop and boxers, curling between them. ]
Y'know I'm sorry. Right?
no subject
Wash drags off his jeans, climbing in next to York in a wifebeater and boxers, and just slides an arm around him, fingers brushing over Sarah's side where he can reach her as he spoons up next to York. ]
We know. It's okay.
no subject
Just promise not to do it again, huh?
[She presses her lips against his cheek, and reaches down to where Wash is brushing his hand against her side, tangling their fingers together as she rests her head against York's shoulder.]
We need you safe.
no subject
York curls into the spooning with a heavy sigh against Sarah's neck, curling in close to both of them, eyes still burning. Maybe it's from the tiredness, maybe from tears, he doesn't know any longer. ]
Yeah. Need you guys safe too. Can't imagine losing--
[ No, he's just not going to go there. ]
no subject
[ Wash slides a hand over York's waist and over his sides, just letting him feel the warmth of his hand. It's not much, but he knows how much feeling them close helps York, and it does wonders for him and Sarah too.
The longer York is like this, the more Wash worries he'll turn out like he did, but he's got them. It won't happen again.
He presses a kiss to the side of York's neck, gentle, and lets out a slow breath over the empty slot in his head, knowing better than to touch it right now. ]
You won't.
no subject
They can't fix everything, they can't help York get over this overnight, but they can at least be here for him, reassuring him that he's not alone in this, comforting him through words and touch alike.
And, an uglier, more pragmatic part of her whispers, if he's tucked in safe between her and Wash, pinned in on either side, he can't slip out while they're sleeping and try doing it again, and maybe screw himself up permanently this time.
She rests her head on the pillow with a sigh, squeezing York's hand reassuringly and murmuring to both of them.]
Love you.
no subject
York kisses the nape of her neck, gentle, just nodding mutely.
He loves them both, but he loves Delta too, and he can't-- just sitting there doesn't sit right. It just doesn't. ]
