Ten years later, humanity and the synthetic life on the station are at odds
Hypatia has inducted as many citizens of Sacrosanct into a private military and launched
an all-out war against organic life and the people of Asphodel.
Some were kept on the station as captives, some escaped down planet-side
to become part of the resistance, and countless others were re-purposed into
Hypatia's willing slaves.
Now, tensions are at a peak and both sides are preparing for a throwdown. Skirmishes break out on the station and planet. Many of Hypatia's prisoners have been freed, but many more have fallen to the clutches of reprogramming.
Where will you be?
How this works:
-If you are synthetic or part-synthetic, OR if you have special armor (Looking at you, Spartans, Troncast, EVERY ROBOT EVER) you are a target for re-purpose.
You can still have escaped down to the planet, but she'll be after you. Going to the station is dangerous, once you enter her wide-area-network you are at risk of being hacked
-If you are fully organic, you are either dead, kept prisoner and made to work on the station, or part of the resistance on Asphodel.
-Anything in-between? You decide. Be creative with this.
-Fill out the form below to give us an idea of what your character is up to, what happened to them etc. Thread with each other! RP it out!
-Also, bring in your extra journals! There won't be the same people on the station ten years from now! If you're planning to app someone, or just have something interesting lying around, toss them in!

He had no intention of standing up, nor did he have any intention of trying to move from the spot he was in. "Can you still honk like before?" He asks the great beast, clearing his throat a bit. He hadn't done it in a while, but he tried to mimic the sound of the horns. He honked a few times, which he couldn't come close to the sound that he had made sweeps prior, but it was... similar to the sound.

Weird creature.
He isn't sure what the creature wants from him. Not that he would give it. He owes nothing to this thing. Even if the creature has been leaving food for him.
Still, maybe there's something he can do to make this creature bring more food. He dashes off into the darkness until he finds one of his dens nearby.
A moment later a horn honks from the shadows.

It's childish, but it... it's great. Eridan is just happy enough that he hasn't tried to kill him yet. It's almost as if one stone had been removed from him, the many that he was trapped under. He can't figure out if it was from him or if it was from one of the horns, but he honks again, trying to make it sound more like a honk. In fact, to make sure he could figure out what he was doing, he does it again and then honks the horn.
no subject
Was communication ever any different?
He honks the horn again from the blackness and rumbles again. He's starting to like this creature. Maybe he'll keep him alive for now.
no subject
He honks both horns this time, just to see what reaction it would gauge from the monster that lurked.
no subject
The creature is making those talking noises at him again. They always do that. Usually it's begging or reasoning, noises tinged with fear and desperation. This one sounds calmer.
He stays safely in the dark, munching the last of the food and watching the creature warily.
no subject
He continues speaking, moving the horns to one single hand to pat the ground. "C'mon. It's not like I can even hurt you or anythin'. Y'almost made me yer next meal the last time we saw each other, if y'remember."
He doesn't wait for him to either move or not move, but he continues on questioning him, trying to see if he can jog anything. It helps him keep himself calm, he brings himself back up to the proper sitting position and another honk. "Do you still remember anythin'?" He can't stop himself from asking questions. "Like when we went out t'the ocean the first time together? When I showed you what my life could've been?"
He places the horns in his lap for the moment, reaching up to untie the strings that held his cloak together. He lets it drop around him and turns ever so slightly. He flexes his wings as well as he can, at this point it's a lot more difficult to actually do much with them. "When y'showed me what I could really do with these."
no subject
But memories these days are just past kills and trophies and blood on the walls and his network of tunnels. Beyond that are the fuzzy, faded images or stray scents. Nothing is concrete and none of it matters.
He growls again. All of this is irritating. Why is this creature even here? Why doesn't he fear him? He should fear him. He is the monster in the dark. The creature should be afraid, not leaving food for him, not making all these strange sounds.

"Do you remember who I am? Do you know my name?" He asks, pulling himself forward just a bit. "Do ya? You'll always be the subjuggulator of my heart, y'know. I have never forgotten a thing, or... I try not to. I write down what I can, for memory's sakes."
He pauses, then chuckles. "Y'know... One thing I will never forget, though... How nervous I was when I asked you t'be mine. I hadn't felt anythin' like that since I had that attachment t'Feferi. Or... at least somethin' that I wanted t'persue." He held up his hands, making the shape of a heart.
no subject
The creature stopped for a moment and made a shape with his hands. The best stopped and squinted at it. That was another thing that couldn't quite be called familiar, but something close to it.
That shape...
He traced it in the wall with a claw, and then after some hesitation, three others. Diamond. Club. Spade.
He could still count, sort of. One, two, three, four. There had been four of these shapes, each with a different meaning, each important. Four. There had been a word...
Snarling in frustration, he dragged his claws through the shapes, scratching them out. He just couldn't understand.

He pulled the wand out again, but does it with care. He knows to tread great caution. The wrong move could also bring the same fate. He held it up slightly in his grasp, but did not turn it on Gamzee. Instead, it went elsewhere.
"Remember, you're still a troll," He spoke, pointing at the wall. As he moved it, the shapes that he had drawn came back, illuminated by his magic. "See? You remembered the quadrants."
He's a bit impressed, but he moves it to add to the shapes that were faintly glowing. The others fade a bit, but the heart stays. "What about this?" He asked, drawing their symbols on either side of the heart.
no subject
He paces around in the darkness for a bit, calming down before thinking about the other symbols the creature drew. One of them is completely foreign to him, but the other.
That's his. It was him. He always sort of thought that that shape defined him, was what he was supposed to call himself. He carved it into bones sometimes.
He looks around now in his den for a good example, eventually finding a skull with the symbol scratched into it. He tosses it into the light and it rolls toward the creature.
no subject
When he watches the skull roll toward him, he rolled it over carefully, looking to see why he had done that. The symbol. He knows of who he is.
"And you remember that. The symbol is yours. You're Gamzee, Gamzee Makara." He began to explain, turning it against the ground. He reached down and tossed it back to him to the dark. "An indigo blooded troll."
no subject
He doesn't know what the creature is saying now. He traces his symbol on another skull and tosses it to the creature again. The creature seems to like that. The noises he's making are starting to be less irritating and almost soothing. He's even starting to like listening to it.
no subject
It was almost a bold move, he'd have to figure. After doing so, he tosses it right back. "Try to remember who I am, Gam'. It's Eridan Ampora, the Prince of Hope. ... Your fishybro."
no subject
Meaningless. He just licks the blood off and tosses the skull aside.
no subject
The fishtroll takes a deep breath, and slowly advances forward. He knows that he must pace himself. Few steps at a time. After about six or so, he stops, as if asking permission to continue forward.
no subject
He growls in warning. What does this creature think he's doing? He should know better. He growls again, but the creature keeps approaching. He isn't sure how to react to this. He doesn't really want to kill this one, so why the hell is he testing him?
For now he lets the creature approach, just glaring and snarling.
no subject
You're throwing yourself at him, he thought to himself, but I have to try...
A soft sigh, and he continued towards him. He was testing him at every step, he knew it. "Do you remember the others, hm? Any of the other trolls, the other humans we were friends with?"
He... was becoming frightful, the closer that he drew. He knew to keep on speaking, it made him at least partially feel better. "What about the WwavveRider? You remember stayin' there? We lived like kings, just the two of us.... it was always great. Finally havin' someone t'share a ship with an' all."
no subject
This creature needs to stop underestimating him.
no subject
He frowns and takes one last step forward, then sits down again. He would try to advance again later, but for now... this was perfect. He pulled the horn from his coat again, honking it.
no subject
He keeps growling, hoping that will drive the creature away, but he just won't leave. He paces, snarls, scratches at the wall and floor and finally plunks down, rumbling. He sits at the edge of his den, only a few feet away and just glares. The creature isn't moving anymore, and he practically dares him to try.
no subject
He doesn't stand, he doesn't move, well... okay that's a lie. He moves, but he reaches forward, letting himself lay down flat on his stomach and glance up at him. It's as if he's trying to submit to him, trying to gain permission to move closer to him.
no subject
Frustrated, he reaches forward and grabs the creature by the back of the neck, lifting him up and holding him closer for inspection. Maybe this creature wants to die. Or maybe he's insane with sickness after the beast bit him before. He doesn't smell like either of those things, though.
That symbol the creature was drawing before is on his chest. The beast taps it with a curious growl.
no subject
He watches his hand reach forward, to grab him and lift him up. He was closer now. This was such a critical time for him. He had to be especially careful, as if he wasn't trying to be already.
Curiosity was high now, but he was mainly just in such a weird state. He was happy, yet still somewhat fearful, but at the same time... he also felt as if he shouldn't be worried about anything yet.
He sees the claw reach out, half expecting it to just pierce him. When it doesn't, he feels it tap against his chest. He glances down to see what he was tapping at, and it was his symbol. "Yeah. That's my symbol." He reaches his hands down, tapping the symbol himself. "I drew it, next to the heart, because we were matesprits. We pitied each other."
Then, he bravely pulls his arms up, placing them ever so gently to his jawline, wary of his mouth. "And I still pity you, I could even go as to say that I fuckin' love the shit out of you, if we brought it out of our own terms."
