Ten years later, humanity and the synthetic life on the station are at odds
Hypatia has inducted as many citizens of Sacrosanct into a private military and launched
an all-out war against organic life and the people of Asphodel.
Some were kept on the station as captives, some escaped down planet-side
to become part of the resistance, and countless others were re-purposed into
Hypatia's willing slaves.

Now, tensions are at a peak and both sides are preparing for a throwdown. Skirmishes break out on the station and planet. Many of Hypatia's prisoners have been freed, but many more have fallen to the clutches of reprogramming.

Where will you be?


How this works:
-If you are synthetic or part-synthetic, OR if you have special armor (Looking at you, Spartans, Troncast, EVERY ROBOT EVER) you are a target for re-purpose.
You can still have escaped down to the planet, but she'll be after you. Going to the station is dangerous, once you enter her wide-area-network you are at risk of being hacked

-If you are fully organic, you are either dead, kept prisoner and made to work on the station, or part of the resistance on Asphodel.

-Anything in-between? You decide. Be creative with this.

Name: Tachikoma Conan

Current Physical Appearance: The Tachikoma looks much like it ever did— though it never uses a designated physical body anymore
Summary: Originally the Tachikoma evacuated to the planet, taking on the guise of an ordinary— if robotic— tank. Because of it's close association with humans, the risk of discovery by the and subsequent dismantling combined with the intense boredom of this state of affairs, it was doomed to failure. Thus, before it could be properly found out and destroyed, the Tachikoma abandoned its physical body and downloaded itself onto the systems of a visiting shuttle. Thus did it stow away back up to Sacrosanct and spent weeks hiding out in various corners and cracks in the networks there.

And then it found a home, with Connecticut, and fell happily into place as her AI companion and cybersecurity tool. While the conditions of Hypatia's rule are harsh and terrible, it makes little distinction between the dark cyberpunk future of Sacrosanct and the dark cyberpunk past of its life in Fukuoka. Maybe you meet it while cruising the digital deer trails or happen to get into a battle of the cyber-hackers on the network. Or maybe you catch the Tachikoma on its rare piggyback shuttle down to the planet and back, to activate the old body and pass news between the resistance and Connecticut.

But let's call that what it is— spying. It's good to be back at work again!
