THE MORNING AFTER MEME

Last night was great. You drank, you gambled, you ran around naked, you hooked up with a girl/guy or three-- too bad you can't remember it. Waking up in a hotel bed isn't so bad but...
Who is this person next to you?
You know how it is, folks!
1. Post with your character.
2. Tag other people and try and piece the night together or not. Up to you.
3. Anything goes so long as muns are cool with it.
4. ???!
5. Profit!

...Shepard?

[She was suddenly very, very aware of just how entangled with him she was. She leveled a dry look at him for a few seconds but before she could ask, her headache answered both the hows and whys of this situation for her. She took a breath through her nose and let her head fall back on the pillow.
Well, on the part of the pillow available to her.]
I don't remember you muscling me this far over before. [So dry. The driest. Still, she's not in a blind struggle to extricate herself.] I must be getting soft.

...Yeah. Too used to having a bed to myself, I guess.

[Shepard let her eyes close and just existed for a second before she spoke up again.]
Since you seem to be handling this well, suppose you could fill me in on the latter portion of last night?

[He didn't really know what line of conversation had gotten them into this position, and right now he didn't really care that much. He might feel bad about that later, when his head isn't steadily throbbing in time with his heartbeat]

[She couldn't remember much more than that, either. Somewhere between the general inane conversation over drinks, to waking up this morning, they'd had one hell of a conversation. Or, hell, maybe they hadn't.]
I can't even remember what I was drinking.
[And she really wanted to. The next time something went sideways, which was probably going to be soon, she'd need one.
Until then, she was starting to get a twinge in the muscles of her upper back. They weren't helping her headache.]
Scoot over, my back's killing me.

[At her request he reluctantly rolled away, making more room for her on the bed. Of course, moving put him in the path of the sunlight coming in from between the blinds and he immediately winced, blocking the light with his arm]

[She stretched and let out a low sound as she did. Being curled up had been comfortable when she'd been drunk and sleeping, but it was less forgiving now. Still, she'd slept in worse positions. She pressed the heels of her hands against her eyes for a second and, all at once, bit the bullet and sat up.
By some small grace, she managed to throw Kaidan into shadow. She cast a look back at him after a second or two. She was getting up, no choice in the matter, and he'd made a decent enough pillow to earn himself a cup of something in bed.
Call her sentimental.]
You want water or coffee?
no subject
He smiles a little at her offer, rubbing the corner of one eye.]
Coffee would be fantastic.
no subject
It probably hadn't.
She was gone for several minutes. When she returned, she was drinking from a mug and had a second in hand. She came to the end of the bed sat again. She held the free cup out to him.
It was black.
If there were two things she didn't do it was ask nicely and mix other people's coffee. She never had; didn't intend to start now.]
no subject
Thanks.
[He accepted the mug and took a sip, feeling a little more aware, now. It'd take some time for the hangover to be gone, but really, his migranes were worse.]

[She is already halfway through hers, but she's less accustomed to terrible debilitating headaches so the caffeine came out in the wash. Another sip and she just leans forward and presses her closed eyes against the heel of her hand. With her elbow propped on her knee, it's almost comfortable.]
I need to block out that window. [She didn't move as she addressed him.] What are the odds they make kevlar curtains?
