For that you need bullet-proof glass. Or blast shields. Although I hear there's a company that makes these blinds that block infrared....

"That's Hahne-Kedar," Shepard supplied flatly and twisted to get a look at the back of his neck. She scowled down at him and, after a beat, elbowed him in the side with a little more firmness than was strictly called for.

"Didn't hear you complaining." She huffed and pulled his arm off her waist so she could sling her legs over the side of the bed. Water didn't sound like a terrible plan, though.

"I'm just looking out for your well-being, Shepard. Someone has to do it," Garrus chuckled. Although he did rub at his ribs a bit ruefully. He finally sat up with a stretch and winced.

"Remind me not to try drinking quite as much, though."

"I don't know, what little I remember was fairly amusing," Shepard said, back, over her shoulder as she stood. When she walked to get water, she returned with two glasses and held one out to him.

"Did I sing? I remember singing," Garrus replied with another little laugh. He was perched on the edge of the bed when Shepard returned and he accepted the water with a grateful nod and immediately took a large gulp.

"At least the water won't give me an allergic reaction. Then I'd be worried."
