Except for the the fact that the magical kissing powers doesn't necessarily extend to skill. Because the only hatekiss Karkat's had involved Dave, a lot of allusions to African animals in Kroger National Park, and an Xbox.

I won't recount the details. They are far too traumatic.

[Yeah, Tommy does not want to hear the angry kissing an Xbox story, dear god. Because if it's anything like this it's going to be enough to make Tommy want to scrape his tongue and lips and brain for days.

Tommy's hands go up to Karkat's shoulders, in some sort of futile attempt to push him off but his body isn't listening to him so they end up just holding onto him instead of shoving. The lip biting isn't a thing he likes when the person doing it has razor teeth, so he bites back, angrily, kissing Karkat with almost a bruising force.
