She interests him, there's no denying that.

Part of that is driven by the fact that she vaguely reminds him of Kara (and that draws him to pretty much anyone) and his own curiousness. He can tell from their conversations that she's had an interesting life and he would like to know more.

Since they're both working at the Silver Apple now, he'll hopefully get the chance to do that.

Having seen what I've seen of BSG and Leoben and Kara

That is unnerving for Hawke but p. damn interesting for moi. Would totally be up for awkward or charged bar conversations.
