IT'S TWO TICKETS TO THAT THING YOU LOVE!

HEADCANON MEME

1. Comment in the post listing your characters.
2. Other will reply with the name of one of your characters
3. You list three things that are your headcanon for that character.

Alternatively, someone can ask you a specific question about the headcanon you have for a certain character. This gives you the option to answer questions pertaining to certain subjects, or think about a question you hadn't considered/answered with your headcanon yet.

There's no limit to the topics or the amount of times someone can ask about a character. It can be huge things like how their life was before their canon, or something smaller like their first time making sweet sweet... um, baked goods for the family. As long as you think it's something that is accurate to your character but it isn't in their canon.

Garrus Vakarian

Corporal Dwayne Hicks

[personal profile] circuitry 2010-12-23 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
What is Garrus's relationship with his sister like?

[identity profile] savor-last-shot.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
They're siblings, so they love each other in their own, turian way. However, as to be expected, their relationship is rather strained, especially since Garrus quit his job at C-Sec and went gallivanting off to Omega to kill criminals with his bare hands. To quote Garrus: he's not a good turian. A good turian would've stayed in C-Sec and been there for his family, no matter what.

So, yeah. Strained, but still a sibling bond. That may or may not change in the near future.

Garrus: What are his thoughts on turian-quarian relationships of the romantic variety?

Hicks: 3 food-related bits of headcanon!

[identity profile] savor-last-shot.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
He's not opposed to them, although he's not entirely sure about them either. He still thinks of quarians as being responsible for the Geth, after all. It's a bit odd, but makes more since. Compatible bio-chemistry and all of that.

Hicks? Hmm. I actually don't have a whole lot headcanon for him. This'll be tough.

Military food is military food. It's not horrible, but it's not great. It's what he eats.

He prefers beer over wine or hard liquor.

And a third one... uh. I'll get back to you.

Garrus's three favorite arrests.

Similarly, the first time he was called Archangel: explain.

As for Hicks: Three hobbies of his that don't involve alien killing.

[identity profile] savor-last-shot.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
First: "Arresting" Doctor Heart, if that counts. Creepy Salarian asshat deserved what he got. And by "what he got" I mean "shot in the face".

Second: Tracking down a turian who was pushing drugs on the Citadel, in one of the less savory wards. Suffice to say it involved a foot chase through the Ward, some of the maintenance tunnels and finally ended in a balls-to-the-wall fistfight (by which I mean the criminal whined a lot and got beat up). Partially because the investigation had come together so perfectly before hand.

Third: Nailing a really irritating volus for tax evasion. White-collar criminals count.

Archangel: I imagine it came from one of the human residents of Omega, considering the role of Angels in human mythology (and my total lack of knowledge about quite a few other religions in the ME universe). Probably after he blew the heads off of some thugs.

That or some criminal asked him, "What the hell do you think you are, some kind of angel?" And he rolled with it.

Hicks: Smoking. Playing poker. And I'm going to say reading, because he does seem like the quiet, slightly-bookish type to me for some reason.

Her first real mishap invloved calculating the airspeed velocity of a recovered lawnmower blade; she's been missing a chunk of her right ring finger ever since, and there's a large, keloidal reason she mostly wears jumpsuits.

When she was sixteen, she discovered that "hotwire" is technically not supposed to involve live current. Her short-term memory has never been quite the same.

But the deadliest, most exhilarating woopsie-doodle had to be what transpired while testing the sacred theorem of her classic holotape, do deathclaws dream of electric sheep.

Two drinks down, she'll brag about the fact that the hardest part? Was finding the sheep.

Well, the easiest, and what everyone expects, is to sip tea and read books. Not just the Bible, lol; he likes the look, feel, and even weird paper scent of actual books. Or even magazines. Especially the incomprehensible ones that sell useless colorful stuff like Fruity Oaty Bars. It's like secular white noise, really soothing.

He has been known to lift weights; he needs a spotter, man T_T But he'll also go for a run if they're planetside, weather permitting. (DOES NOT LIKE TO SWIM.)

The best afternoon involved apple fritters, a little cider, and teaching some kids about hopscotch and James Brown.

HMMM

I assume you mean alcohol. WELL, when T-800 was human in another game he thought all alcohol was flammable and therefore out to get him so he was dry as a desert. Rations in the Halo universe apparently have whiskey on the menu and I believe beer, Two being 24/7 military, that's probably all she's been exposed to. Ryro's a little party shy but seeing as beer is prevalent in 2Fort, I have to say beer.

I play boring characters.

1. Did being shot in the head give Two anything besides excessive temporary loopiness?

2. T's thoughts on Delta.

[identity profile] terminatenomore.livejournal.com 2010-12-24 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
1. A case of the herp derps. It probably made her problem solving skills a little...slower than what they were pre-Blood Line.

2. T IS SO UNSURE. To clarify, T's only experience with other AI before coming here were his own kind and I guess what you'd call the "mother," Skynet. So all he's had was a hivemind like sentience tied to one super-AI- a connection that was, obviously, severed. So all he knew of AI were they were either his own kind and trying to kill him or kill something he was trying to protect.

That Delta is none of the above, and in the charge of another human is incredibly conflicting as it is fascinating. Like Legion, Delta is a loophole in T's deep distrust of other AI. Delta can't really be killed and is a new source of information. While T is very wary, all he really wants is to learn more about Delta.
