There is entirely too much trauma on this space station lately. Which means it's time for the

Broken Elevator Meme!

...Yeah.

• Your character is riding on an elevator when - oh no - it breaks down and stops! How unexpected.
• Oh look, someone else is in there with them. How about that.
• That elevator isn't going to move until your thread amasses at least ten comments. MAYBE MORE.
• Commence arguing/going stir-crazy/making out to relieve the tension/all of the above.
• Agree to never speak of this again (and just use the stairs in future).

To achieve the correct atmosphere for this meme, I highly recommend these tracks. HAVE FUN~ :B

[Cindy looks right back at her, and lets out a frustrated sound that isn't particularly dissimilar from a screechy dolphin click. She then jerks her helmet at the controls.

[7 doesn't flinch, still watching her warrily, then glances over at the controls.]

[See, this is exactly why she didn't like technology. You couldn't trust it. She tries mashing all of the buttons, which doesn't work, kicking it out of frustration, which works even less when she stubs her toe, and then gives up and just slams her spear into it. Which, of course, just breaks and bursts into sparks and jolts her backwards.]

[Cindy huffs in frustration and hurls a fireball at the door. It fizzles out but not after melting the controls and increasing the temperature in the small room a good twenty degrees.

WHY. WASN'T. IT. WORKING!?

Cindy stabs it a few times and when the molten plastic fails to react, aside from dropping the lodged piece of spear, she shrieks at it and sits down.]

[7's infintely glad she'd been shocked back before Cindy's flaming attack, but that still doesn't cool the room any. She removes her skullmet to drag her arm across her forehead, wiping away sweat from the head and her earlier exertion, watching as Cindy tries her hand at it before sitting down.]

[She crosses her arms for a moment, glaring at the molten and stabbed controls as if trying to will them to work, before looking around at the rest of the elevator.]

[Access panel at the top. Maybe she could ...]

[Don't mind 7, Cindy, she's just going to leap on you in order to reach the ceiling and push at that panel ...]

[Cindy doesn't really have the room to flail and knock seven off, so she settles for a loud, indignant shriek as the woman climbs her like a freaky, dive-suited ladder.]

GET OFF.

[The shriek startles 7, and she plants a hand against the wall to keep from falling off, glancing down and snapping back,]

Hold still! I'm trying to find a way out!

[Then goes back to pushing the panel aside and pulling herself up onto the top of the car]

[She got out? Out of the car through the roof? Cindy just watches her scramble up and as soon as she's freed from Seven's weight, she twists and tries to figure out how she's going to fit through that regular-people-sized vent.]

[7 hovers a moment by the panel, frowning at the small opening and Cindy's rather large bulk. That wasn't going to work. She looks around the shaft. They were halfway between floors, of course, but if she could get the car to drop just a foot or two, Cindy could needle the doors open and get out that way.]

[But how to get it to drop ... ? She leans over and sticks her head back into the elevator]

Try jumping -- just once. We have to try and lower it a bit.
