Whatever the reason, the next time you walk out of a teleporter? Congratulations, you are now the gender you previously were not. Surprise!

[Eerie, isn't it? Shepard's pretty chill about the whole thing and it's strange but she stands the same, even as a man. Nothing to see here. Well. Except that she's still wearing the female version of the armor and it looks just a bit ridiculous.]

I suspect you wouldn't want me to undress and show all the differences, Shepard. No, that's not how it works.

Between Omega and Illium, I think I've gotten my fill of naked alien women. We're good.

Any idea what just happened?

Teleporter issue, it seems. Specifics are unknown to me, but the teleporter is capable of ... side effects.

I was not anticipating a gender change.

[Thane can compose himself in many ways, but frankly cannot help but SNORT at that. Oh, that sounded hilarious from John's voice.]

[Okay, she could almost hear the femininity in that almost laugh. That or Thane had an inherently girly laugh and it was leaking through. She wasn't really sure which, it didn't come up much.]

Since all my internal organs are still internal, I guess we'll call this particular fuck up a minor one. [Wow, swearing sounded awkward in this voice. That was going to take getting used to.] Don't think I'm willing to jump back in another teleporter for a while. Knowing this station I'll come out the other side a robot, next.

[That, relatively settled, Shepard just frowns as she considers a course of action. Unfortunately instantaneous genetic alteration isn't a threat she's really had to prepare for.]

Don't suppose we've found any spare, male armor in the junkyard recently, have we?

[She tilts her head faintly.] I was preparing a collection, in case Jacob should appear. You do have his build; with some adjusting, it would be a good fit. Perhaps you could ask Kaidan for assistance?

That won't be bizarre or anything. [That sentence was about as redundant as any sentence was capable of being. After a beat, she recognizes that.]

[Shepard takes a moment to remove the boot sections of her armor. Bending at the waist was problematic, but she got used to it quickly. The boots were most of the leg sections of her armor, but without them, she could walk. That was better.

Upon completing this task, she just stands back up and slings them over her shoulder.]

Let's get moving. You spot some cheap sandals, let me know.

Of course, Shepard. I'll keep an eye out.

I will have to make some changes as well. But I will worry about that when we return to base.
