All that aside, though, he actually is pretty close to the guy. He might not talk to him often enough, and they definitely have their own problems, but he trusts him pretty explicitly! He also doesn't really consider Davesprite to be the same person as him (not necessarily a bad thing), but he tries to not let that show as often as possible.
Davesprite is a pretty cool birdbro, all things considered, and someone Dave considers family - even if he wants to punch said brother in the face a good amount of times.

No, seriously, Dave relies on Sollux a lot more than he'd like to admit. He kind of tries to bottle things up and ignore them a good portion of the time (which is starting to work less and less LOLTROLL), so having someone that he can just rant at and hold close and give noogies to when necessary is a lifesaver for him. Honestly, even if we haven't played out all of them, Sollux has probably kept him from more stupid shit than he'd ever admit publically.
More than that, though, Dave kind of has a bit of a possessive streak around him, due to the whole sector 7 thing. He's still a little ~8| around Pink for (temporarily, however unwittingly) jacking his 'rail, he loathes Karkat and thinks he should stay as far away from Sollux as possible, and would honestly be angrier with Eridan if he weren't vaguely pathetic. (He already has some rage built up there - he's just able to fall back on the "I'm better than you" self-assurance for it.) All this he's dealt with pretty easily due to no real pity involved, which is why I'm kind of interested in seeing him react to Aradia and Sollux. POSSESSIVE / PROTECTIVE AHOOOOY

He also considers her, if not family, at least something close - a close, close friend-cum-obligation. She provides an intellectual counterpoint to his forced idiocy, and that's something he enjoys on a certain level (that once again, he'd never admit to).

Dave thinks Karkat is a dumbass and pretty fun to troll. That's about where he'd be right now were it not for a few things-
1) Sing!Dave's tendency to fall headfirst into blackrom situations, ala the rules of sitcom.
2) Sing!Dave's over-possessive nature regarding Sollux, and his protective side absolutely refusing to allow Karkat to fuck anything up there.
3) Sing!Dave's kind-of-semi-long-term-weird-crush on Terezi, and the knowledge that Karkat's never going to stop getting on his ass about that.
All these combined make Dave want to strangle him just so he shuts up sometimes! That said, John's doing a remarkable job of AUSPISTICIZING (by making Karkat hate him instead w h o o p s), and Dave has no desire to get away from the most unquestionably hateable dumbass on the st8tion, so he's been trying to put up a distant/neutral front. Still, he can't help but lapse into that GOD THIS DUMBASS IS TOO EASY trollside sometimes.

He's also got an odd sense of camaraderie with her, as one of the three(?) mutants left from the SHODAN Space Rumpus, and he happens to think the tronlines look fucking awesome.
Finally, she's interesting in a diverting sort of way - the easiest way to put it would be that he just doesn't get bored when she's around, and god knows he needs that (what with keeping himself occupied with various intentionally shitty endeavors). He'd want to go all Knight on her ass, except he's pretty sure she doesn't need any sort of protecting - if anything, he should be consulting the Seer for advice more often.
Headcanon: they break out kids toys all the fucking time, like Play-doh or finger paints, and Dave just watches with that sort of distant amazement as he does whatever the fuck he feels like with it - like "how do you get this unironically invested in fucking playdoh" and then he can't help but grin and play along (somewhat facetiously), and it's kind of a two-way exchange of awful weird irony.

As is, he just hates her guts, in a vaguely "get her away, don't want to think about her" way.
Bro is more complicated - he's his bro. He can't deny that. And even with all that, there's a fair bit of resentment starting to build up in him, stuff he'd never really admit to anyone (even himself). Maybe it's a rebellious teenager phase, who knows? So he knows Bro cares about him, and he cares about Bro, but he's finding himself more and more disenfranchised with the person he once held up as a kind of idol. He plays along continually with the irony, because he has no idea what to do with himself other than that, but it's really getting him kind of bad. There's also a fair bit of jealousy finally kicking in above the insecurity. It's one of those weird situations that he could acknowledge that he respects Bro, and that he loves him, and that he cares about him - and when it came down to it, if Bro tried to spar with him blood might end up getting shed.

no, really, dave tries to ignore the murderer thing because hey, who's he to judge, right? but it does mean he doesn't trust pink on the same level he'd trust orange. THAT SAID, if Jade's in trouble, he wouldn't avoid pink or anything like that - far from it.
basically he considers pink somewhere around the "murderous brother" region. he cares for the dude and will stand up for him, and is not entirely comfortable with living in the same house as him HEYOOOO.

All that said, he's kind of on coolkid lockdown around him at the moment. He's done some pretty terrible shit here and he knows it, and he doesn't want John to find out about that. There's also the whole UHHH OTHER YOU IS TECHNICALLY IN MY QUADRANTS issue, which - even as an auspistice - is kind of making Dave's head swim.

Equius is the funniest shit on the planet to Dave, and that's partially because the troll makes him feel so uncomfortable. It's like he's staring into the worst bowels of the internet, past 4chan and furaffinity and right into the Deep Places. The feeling Dave gets gazing upon Equius's raps, when he cajoles them out of him, are something akin to what I feel a Lovecraftian cultist feels when their eldritch works have finally paid off.
They gaze upon the monster, rising from the abyss, and all they can think in their final moments before gibbering lunacy is "god daaaaaamn, i am partially responsible for this beauty."
