Ten years later, humanity and the synthetic life on the station are at odds
Hypatia has inducted as many citizens of Sacrosanct into a private military and launched
an all-out war against organic life and the people of Asphodel.
Some were kept on the station as captives, some escaped down planet-side
to become part of the resistance, and countless others were re-purposed into
Hypatia's willing slaves.
Now, tensions are at a peak and both sides are preparing for a throwdown. Skirmishes break out on the station and planet. Many of Hypatia's prisoners have been freed, but many more have fallen to the clutches of reprogramming.
Where will you be?
How this works:
-If you are synthetic or part-synthetic, OR if you have special armor (Looking at you, Spartans, Troncast, EVERY ROBOT EVER) you are a target for re-purpose.
You can still have escaped down to the planet, but she'll be after you. Going to the station is dangerous, once you enter her wide-area-network you are at risk of being hacked
-If you are fully organic, you are either dead, kept prisoner and made to work on the station, or part of the resistance on Asphodel.
-Anything in-between? You decide. Be creative with this.
-Fill out the form below to give us an idea of what your character is up to, what happened to them etc. Thread with each other! RP it out!
-Also, bring in your extra journals! There won't be the same people on the station ten years from now! If you're planning to app someone, or just have something interesting lying around, toss them in!

They fight a lot -- and everywhere, something that part of her looks forward to. The thrill of battle, you can't catch me! and the ringing of steel against steel, snarls and gashes and biting and blood, everywhere. Though she doesn't think she can bleed any more, not really; whatever spills out isn't hers to claim, it's Hypatia's.
Today the order is simple: assassinate. Leave no survivors. But there's still part of her that's upset don't hurt dave! and there are flashes of simpler times, curling up on the couch and playing video games, sleepovers in the middle of the hallway, swimming together.
So she just stands there.
"You need a haircut Dave, do you want me to give you on-- o-one? O-or do you want me to take your eyes out instead?"
She makes no move.

"I'm fine with the one you gave me last time," he says far more coolly than he feels he really can, and before he's even finished that sentence he is back, swinging from behind her in a blow he know will miss. He just watched it, after all.
Time slows to an absolute crawl. He can see every tiny movement he makes, every flicker of electricity bridging through Jade. He can see the air being cut through, rushing to fill its own gap.
He will not let anyone die. Not him, not his friends, not the resistance, and least of all Jade.

( somewhere in the back of her mind she remembers a time when Space and Time worked together in harmony, a long time ago )
and then she blocks out the memory and focuses on
kill him kill him kill him kill him
"I-iiiiiiiit's useless, Dave are you really going to do this again?"
( space and time space and time you could run away with him he would take you home
home
home home home home )
And then she yells at herself, for no reason that Dave would understand unless he's hacked into the system, seen her blueprints. Her messy imperfections.
"Shut the fuck up!"

"Yeah, take the girl's advice," he hears himself say, and by the time his voice is relayed to him through Sollux - 2 steps back, one step right, one-hundred twenty milliseconds - he's already hopped to the place he know she'll be next and begun his swing.
It won't hit. It never does. But keeping her in constant motion is the only way he really has to ensure the fight stays between them.

But at the back of her mind it's hatred, hatred for the mutant that's swinging at her (swinging his arm through her, into a different part of the station). And then she's teleporting, and teleporting again because she can feel the Space around her screaming that he'll hurt her, he will knock her over and kill her, so she teleports until she finds a place that she can stand without being attacked, at least for a little bit.
"no no no yes fuck you Do you really think I could listen to her she's a human and she's weak and we are imperfect and this is what we always wanted isn't it-- isn't it, Dave, isn't it?"
no subject
"This is what we always wanted isn't it -- isn't it, Dave, isn't it?"
The hatred solidifies, black and bile and arousal coagulating into a single entity, to hell with Vriska, he will kill this thing himself, and before he can reign it under control he's swinging again - this time for whatever he can hit-
"Look at me!"
-and he is in another place already, whispered coordinates and shooshing coming from Sollux in his mind, and he swings again-
"A freak like me-"
-spin, swing, spin, swing-
"-is your equal-"
-spin, swing, spin, swing, spinswingspinswing, and Sollux's calming little thoughts finally shatter through everything and he howls-
"Give Jade back to me!"

Give Jade back to me!
And she's floating in midair, because he can't touch her up here for now.
"No." Her voice is loud; she uses her powers to let it echo through the entire area, loud and forbidding. "Jade's gone Jade is go~one g--gone she's gone and Don't Worry Dave, Hypatia takes good care of her."

he wishes he could pass it off as irony, or some weird battle plan, but - all it is is anger and need and give jade back, give jade back, give jade back.

Only Jade's human mind stopped aging at around sixteen, so currently her brain is doing backflips at being kissed by (a rather sharp, scary) Dave Strider. She hasn't kissed anyone in so long that she's not quite sure what to do.
So Jade's body goes into lockdown, sending her plummeting for the cityscape below.

One hand tangles in her hair, right above her scalp, and pulls it taut as the other tightens in its grip at her back. Falling is inconvenient (if not exhilarating), and he starts flying upward in an attempt to counter her downward momentum.

Jade wants to teleport out of his grasp, but can't figure out how without bringing him along. Sure, getting him lost in the void between worlds would be kind of fun, but she can't really keep playing with him like that. This is the first time in a long while that she's actually losing the match. And she realizes what's at stake: her mind, her freedom. Forced into a cage until the effects of so-called science can reverse the damage done on her mind. Until someone can break through the firewalls and traps and turn her back. If there even is a back for someone like her.
She can't remember a back, anyway.
"Let me go you little bastard I'll rip your teeth out and yyyyyyy-- y-- you can't have me I won't go with you don't even try and take me away from Her she's my MotherMasterProgramming I need her so stop it!"
no subject
She's.
Not.
Teleporting.
He has no fucking clue what triggered it, if it's this sort of proximity that she can't escape from, but if that's what it takes then fine. His grip tightens even harder, bringing Jade closer to him and
ow ow ow ow managing to absorb most of the blow to the crotch with some absurdly quick momentum shifting. Still, his grip doesn't waver for one second - this is the first breakthrough he's made in years. He isn't quitting now. If he has any say, he isn't quitting ever.
"Quit complaining, Jade. Jeez, take a chill pill already."
His voice manages to sound calmer than the tempest of excitement that it actually is, somehow.

Her robotic arm scrabbles for his face, sharp nails trying to sink into his skin -- but then she's trying to yank herself free-- and then
you don't even deserve to live if you can't even escape one little boy
the long, sharp nails that were just a second ago trying to maim him are now jamming themselves into her chest, ripping at skin and trying to break bone to hurt her, to make her die in the most painful way she can think of. And for a moment, she's almost completely human; the metallic shrieks and glitches turn into a pained, high-pitched scream as her own body attempts to decimate her.
