HEADCANON MEME

3. You list three things that are your headcanon for that character.

Alternatively, someone can ask you a specific question about the headcanon you have for a certain character. This gives you the option to answer questions pertaining to certain subjects, or think about a question you hadn't considered/answered with your headcanon yet.

There's no limit to the topics or the amount of times someone can ask about a character. It can be huge things like how their life was before their canon, or something smaller like their first time making sweet sweet... um, baked goods for the family. As long as you think it's something that is accurate to your character but it isn't in their canon.

HAL 9000

1. There is this small bit near the end of one of the chapters in the book (Chapter 17 Page 101):
"It was true -indeed, notorious- that seamen had compensations at other ports; unfortunately there were no tropical islands full of dusky maids beyond the orbit of Earth. The space medics of course, had tackled the problem with their usual enthusiasm; the ships pharmacopoeia provided adequate, though hardly glamorous substitutes."
Basically my headcanon for this is that HAL was in control of personal built-in wall fleshlights for all of the crew members.

2. I imagine that HAL is actually not horrible at lying as long as he is only lying to himself, as he managed to warp his mission statement so that it was acceptable to kill all three of the hibernating crew members on board the Discovery -even though they posed no threat to him, which is why he said he was eliminating Dave.

3. I like to think, that as an A.I. actually capable of feeling fear, that he did actually feel bad about killing Poole and trying to kill Dave. I mean even though he deemed in necessary for his mission to progress, they had treated him like a crew member, so I think there might have been some latent guilt there.

Junior

1. I figure he is actually part of some off-shoot of the Sangheili race that is a little more simpleminded than actual Sangheili are. They probably colonized some back-world planet and were basically deemed canon fodder, which is why Crunchbite was so eager to get the sword, because he figured it get his people recognized.

2. He has no idea how to speak proper Sangheili at all. We've talked about this in chat, and he probably speaks an entirely different dialect, kind of like the difference between Cuban Spanish and Nicaraguan Spanish. I imagine his speech sounds like ebonics or chatspeak to actual Sangheili when he isn't just making nonsense noises.

3. Junior knows fuck all about his father and Tucker will never ever tell him. Ever. If he ever asks, she will distract him with, IDK, jingling keys or something. He is okay with this.

Fishlegs he is okay with, since he comes off as very quiet and half of his muttering nonsense kind of bores Toothless into a calm state. I think that he would just like to sit there and listen sometimes.
He probably likes Snotlout the least, if only because he's the loudest and most obnoxious, and gets a little too close to Astrid sometimes, which is totally not cool bro :|
