Ten years later, humanity and the synthetic life on the station are at odds
Hypatia has inducted as many citizens of Sacrosanct into a private military and launched
an all-out war against organic life and the people of Asphodel.
Some were kept on the station as captives, some escaped down planet-side
to become part of the resistance, and countless others were re-purposed into
Hypatia's willing slaves.
Now, tensions are at a peak and both sides are preparing for a throwdown. Skirmishes break out on the station and planet. Many of Hypatia's prisoners have been freed, but many more have fallen to the clutches of reprogramming.
Where will you be?
How this works:
-If you are synthetic or part-synthetic, OR if you have special armor (Looking at you, Spartans, Troncast, EVERY ROBOT EVER) you are a target for re-purpose.
You can still have escaped down to the planet, but she'll be after you. Going to the station is dangerous, once you enter her wide-area-network you are at risk of being hacked
-If you are fully organic, you are either dead, kept prisoner and made to work on the station, or part of the resistance on Asphodel.
-Anything in-between? You decide. Be creative with this.
-Fill out the form below to give us an idea of what your character is up to, what happened to them etc. Thread with each other! RP it out!
-Also, bring in your extra journals! There won't be the same people on the station ten years from now! If you're planning to app someone, or just have something interesting lying around, toss them in!

KARKAT VANTAS
Name: Karkat motherfucking Vantas
Current location: Asphodel
Current Physical Appearance: Bigger, despite still being a bit stumpy for a troll. Typical difference between a 13 year old and a 23 year old. Basically, he looks a lot like the Signless, but more scarred. Missing a leg because why the fuck not. People in RPs need to lose their legs more often. It's always the goddamn arms.
Summary: GUESS WHO PREDICTED THIS SHIT?! BITCHES SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO OUR RESIDENT ROBOHATER.
Basically, the first signs of something fishy, Karkat was warning the shit out of everything that moved. Considering the fact that he was warning the shit out of everything that moved even before things got fishy, it's easy to believe no one listened. Ever. Since they never do.
When Hypatia made her move, Karkat gathered as many of his team of trolls as he could and absconded. It was early, quick, and as low-key as possible.
Karkat's all about the resistance. He's pretty vocal about how the resistance should make more raids on Sacrosanct to TEAR DOWN THAT BULLSHIT ROBOMENANCE AND SHOW THAT GODDAMN HYPATIFUCKASS WHO'S THE MOST FUCKING SUPERIOR (HINT: THE ANSWER IS US) also maybe save people, that'd be good too. If there are trolls/people he has CR with still on Sacrosanct, he will be obsessively obsessive about getting them back.
Personality-wise, Karkat's rage is a universal and temporal constant. However (depending on how many trolls/friends made it out/have been saved), he's much more bitter. Defensive. Paranoid as shit. Basically, take all of his bad qualities and multiply them by stupid.
It's safe to say everyone ever pretty much knows about his blood, though. FIGHTING ROBOTS MEANS LOTS OF INJURIES AND SCARS AND STUFF.

And now they fight again, because Karkat keeps Coming Back to Sacrosanct and even though part of Jade is screaming RUN AWAY there is a different part of her that says no, come back. We'll do the dance of two people who play with death and one of us will lose, but it won't be me. Because she wasn't created to lose; there's a flash of energy and she's standing behind him, robotic hand on his shoulder.
"Hi Karkat."
Her voice is fairly flat, but there's a tinge of resentment in it. Anger that he keeps coming back even when last time she broke through and told him not to.

"Hey Jade. It's been over a month. Since we last fought. Talked. Whatever."
It's a retardedly desperate move, but he's retardedly desperate too.

Dave ducks under the door into Karkat's makeshift respiteblock, not really bothering to knock. Why bother? Karkat will probably scream as usual, and he'll just shrug it off, and then they'll be back to some semblance of normalcy. It's not like there's been any real hate there for the past few years - smaller hates tend to dwindle away over time, especially when partnership is required.

Re: KARKAT VANTAS
This is kind of a shitty reunion.

So, it's with a ridiculous amount of victory opens that locked door and finds Jack. That victory completely vanishes when he sees what a mess the man's become. Oh, fuck. Those limbs. This is going to be a bitch, but Karkat knows he needs to remove them before he can take Jack anywhere. But to remove them, he's going to need to keep Jack calm.
"Jack, it's me, Karkat. I'm getting you out."

WHO'S THE STALKER NOW?
She remembers him so much more clearly than most, though her recollections are often murky at best. Remembers his symbols and his yelling and sometimes his color. Colors. Always switching between burning red and dull grey. Sometimes she even remembers the way his blood tasted, bright and painful and then comforting and warm. So sometimes she waits for him, and sometimes she follows him. It's a massive waste of blood, these little excursions, mostly due to the frequency with which she takes them. Even when she has none in supply she still goes out to watch him. It might explain why Kanaya has found herself stranded and famished, curled into a tight ball in an off-shoot tunnel trying to will her body into not shutting down.

He also prefers them, because he finally has a chance to be alone. It's ridiculous, really. In his youth, he would have given anything and everything to have his whole team in one place, all the time. He felt lonely when they were missing, or at the very least, he worried. God, he worried so much. He still does. But sometimes he just needs to stop. Karkat needs to walk down a long, dark tunnel, and focus on nothing but the sound of his own foot steps. He needs to close his eyes and remember when an elegant arm would wrap around his shoulders and pull him into a hug.
But now's not the time to let his mind wander. Karkat's hear reports and rumors of something dangerous out this way, and it's finally time to investigate for himself.
He sees her glow before he sees her.
"Who's there?!"

Sonic leaps into Karkat's respiteblock through the window. He always uses the window. Makes it easier to get his attention than using the door. He stands on the sill for a second, before dropping into the block. He gives a wave and immediately tarts speaking. Sans when he feels like reporting to the troll (which isn't often), he only shows up at his block when he needs a favor.
"C'mon to the shuttles with me, I need you to yell at some guys for me."

"SWEET MOTHER OF GRUBS, DOORS STILL EXIST. THEY HAVE NEVER STOPPED FUNCTIONING, NOT WHEN THE ROBOTS TOOK OVER, NOT WHEN WE ALL DIE, THEY ARE COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT OF ANY AND ALL HISTORICAL OR AHISTORICAL SITUATIONS SURROUNDING THEM. DOORS ARE THE ONE STABILITY IN OUR WORLD. FUCKING. USE THEM." Nope, gotta deal with Karkat's bitching before you get your favors.

Well, whatever got thrown his way. There was a quick rap on the door. He was practically the only one who knocked, so Karkat would likely come see him.
He wore the eyepatch over the robot eye. He's pretty sure he remembered Karkat requesting it, just in case she hacked his wetware without his knowledge. But he wasn't concerned. At least. Not on the outside.
"Yo, Captain Kark, just did my rounds of the defenses. Fortified some of our forward raid base areas, s'about as much as we needed doing."
no subject
"Oh." It's a quick, neutral verbal response that gives him time to mentally recall John's rounds, which bases he'd pass by.
Got it.
"Good, good. Thanks, Egbert. Please tell me you didn't run into any bullshit while you were out there. There's been some weird reports coming from that area, but I think half of them are just idiots chasing their bulges in the dark, and nothing else."

Animals. Prey. Food.
Even prey learns. Learns what places to avoid. Where to hide. Not that hiding helps.
The monster is silent as he follows this one through the caves. he's not even hungry. This is just for fun.
no subject
Obviously, Karkat is the only competent asshole in this whole resistance.
So he's come alone. A whole party would be too difficult to coordinate, especially if there were something exceptionally dangerous out there.

Before Karkat can even raise one yell of protest, he lifts an arm up, voice following.
"Don't say anythin'. I'll be out a your damn hair in a sec. Just... let me rest for a second, alright? I need t'sit here an' see if I can get any ideas from where you lay."

Besides, the information she provides is priceless.
"Oh, let me halt my various irons, fires, and bullshit to accept your special existence into my glorious presence. The entire world is at a stand-still for you, Terezi Pyrope. What's the delivery?" He can still be sarcastic, though.

Fully adult, he should have a large set of horns upon his head, but there are none. A bandanna covers the small metal plates now in their former locations, long messy hair pooling out from under it. Also unlike his other self, he's significantly more cowed.
