I would have guessed Epsilon to be smaller than you.

[He lifts up a paw to pat Epsilon gently.]

I suppose. You are good-looking yourself.

[No pets for you, Wash, Delta knows about poisonous frogs.]

And I'm stuck being a slimy poisonous thing.

[He continues to preen Epsilon a little, making sure all his feathers are in place.]

Your colors, at least, match. Ours do not.

I think I'd rather be bigger and not match.

[Epsilon is giggling at the attention from Delta.]

He finishes preening Epsilon and pats him gently once more.]

Then you feel how we often do, Agent Washington, who have control over our color but are, by default, so small as to seem harmless to humans.

It's an interesting lesson. I'm really not liking the experience. It's like those times the brat took over in comfort level.

[Giving Wash a glare as well as he can.] Not a brat.

[He looms over Wash for a moment with the implication of I could squish you, you know.]

I do not know why you two have such difficulties cooperating.

[He won't actually crush Wash, of course. He just feels the need to be protective of Epsilon who he's already lost once.]

You must learn to compromise.

It is likely he is "mean" because you cause no end of trouble for him, Epsilon.

[He crouches down in an invitation for Epsilon-bird to hop onto his back.]

I believe you will learn. You simply need time and patience.

[Have a clumsy bird hopping onto your back, Delta. And the claws digging in a little without meaning to.] You mean that?

[He starts to walk around a little, making sure Epsilon can keep his balance.]
